Jarvis Gold Scalper is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, developed by Gold Capital Software SRL for gold breakout trading.
The EA combines four internal strategies with one shared configuration. It places pending breakout orders when entry conditions are met and manages positions using stop loss, take profit and trailing exits. Trading sessions and targeted economic-news protection provide additional control over new entries.

Risk profiles
The predefined profiles calculate lot size in proportion to account balance:

Low Risk — 0.01 lot per 300 units of account balance. This is the default profile.

Medium Risk — 0.01 lot per 200 units of account balance.

High Risk — 0.01 lot per 100 units of account balance.

Ultra Risk — 0.01 lot per 75 units of account balance.

Custom — uses your manual lot-sizing settings.
Balance is measured in the account deposit currency. Broker volume limits, rounding and margin requirements apply.
Sizing applies to each eligible strategy order, not to total portfolio exposure. Multiple positions may be active simultaneously. Profile names describe relative sizing and do not guarantee safety or limit maximum losses.
Custom configuration
Custom mode provides three sizing methods:

Fixed Lot: a specified volume for each eligible order.

Risk per Balance: volume scales with account balance.

Risk Percent: volume is estimated from the selected percentage of balance and the applicable stop-loss distance.
In Risk Percent mode, volumes may differ between strategies because their stop-loss distances differ.
The risk-profile selector and exit-mode selector are independent. Select Custom exit mode to apply the shared custom stop loss, take profit and trailing values.
Trading sessions
The default schedule is Monday to Friday, using broker server time:

Session 1: 01:00–15:00.

Session 2: 17:00–21:00.
Each session can be enabled or disabled, with separately adjustable start and end hours and minutes. Disabling both sessions removes the time-window restriction.
Outside enabled windows, the EA attempts to close its open positions and, by default, delete its pending orders. At the next session, it recalculates eligible entries after cleanup. Execution depends on market availability and broker acceptance.
Reattaching or reinitializing the EA also starts a cleanup cycle and may close existing positions belonging to the EA.
NFP, CPI and FOMC protection
The news filter uses the native MetaTrader 5 economic calendar without an external API key or WebRequest configuration.
Default pauses are:

NFP: 30 minutes before and 60 minutes after release.

CPI: 30 minutes before and 60 minutes after release.

FOMC: 60 minutes before and 150 minutes after each matching event.
A master switch enables or disables the entire news filter. Each event category also has an individual permission switch and adjustable pause times.
News protection blocks new entries and can delete pending orders. Existing positions continue to receive normal exit management; news protection alone does not close them.
A connected terminal and available calendar data are required. New entries pause when complete calendar data is unavailable or stale. This targeted filter does not cover all economic releases or unexpected events.
Requirements and operating notes

MetaTrader 5 with Algo Trading and EA trading permission enabled.

A broker gold symbol with adequate historical data.

A continuously running terminal and reliable connection.

A hedging account is preferable for independent strategy positions.

Avoid running multiple copies on the same symbol and account.

Verify broker server time, contract specifications, margin and settings before use.
News protection and live slippage adjustment are bypassed in Strategy Tester. Backtests therefore do not reproduce these live features. Forward-test on a demo account before considering live deployment.
