Smart Swing Signals (SSS)
Smart Swing Signals (SSS): closed-candle BUY/SELL arrows, projected swing zones and a transparent evidence score for XAUUSD and other markets.
Trade with evidence, not guesswork
Most arrow indicators fire a signal on almost every candle and never tell you why. Smart Swing Signals (SSS) works differently. It gathers several independent kinds of market evidence, scores bullish and bearish conditions separately, and draws an arrow only when the setup passes your own rules. When the evidence conflicts or is too weak, SSS shows WAIT and tells you the reason.
SSS is built and tuned for XAUUSD (Gold) and works on Forex pairs, metals, indices and crypto symbols offered by your broker. It runs on every MT5 timeframe, with presets included for M1 scalping, H1 swing and H4 swing.
What you get
1. Closed-candle signals
- BUY and SELL arrows appear only after a candle has closed. The forming candle never produces a confirmed arrow.
- Confirmed swings are used only from the moment they were actually confirmed, never earlier.
- Arrow colors can adapt automatically to your chart colors, so they stay visible against your candles.
2. A transparent Bullish / Bearish score (0–100)
SSS combines these evidence groups with configurable weights:
- Trend structure (EMA alignment, slope, price position)
- Candle geometry (body, wicks, close location)
- Momentum (RSI, displacement, body strength, acceleration)
- Swing structure (HH/HL, LH/LL, Break of Structure, Change of Character)
- Volatility context (ATR percentile regimes)
- Time-cycle evidence (360° phase analysis, used only when the cycle proves stable)
- Statistical forecast evidence
A signal needs a minimum score and a minimum lead over the opposite side. If you disable a module, the remaining weights are renormalized automatically.
3. Projected swing zones
- A statistical engine looks at historical situations similar to the current one. It uses only completed past outcomes, so there is no look-ahead.
- It draws projected upper and lower price zones for your chosen horizon (default 10 bars).
- If there are not enough samples, SSS switches to an ATR-based fallback and clearly labels the zones FALLBACK.
- Optional extra levels: range projections, confirmed swing highs and lows, and daily pivots.
- Stop and two target reference levels are shown for each signal, with a warning if a target runs into a nearby swing level.
4. Built-in honesty tools
- Confidence labels (LOW / MODERATE / HIGH) come from explicit criteria. A score is not a probability, and SSS does not pretend it is.
- Walk-forward validation report in the Experts log:
- forecast error in ATR units
- quantile loss and coverage
- signal counts, with completed and pending outcomes
- results by volatility regime and by time period
- a first-touch test of the projected levels, where a same-candle double touch is reported as ambiguous
- Spread and an optional extra cost input are taken into account in the reported signal outcomes.
- SSS can conclude that the cycle component adds nothing, and then switches it off automatically.
5. Clean, compact dashboard
Signal status and reason, Bull/Bear scores, trend, momentum, volatility, candle metrics, ATR, cycle status, projected zones, forecast model status, confidence and validation status, all in one tidy panel that never overflows. It can be switched off completely.
6. Complete alert system
Popup, sound, push notification and email alerts for new BUY/SELL signals, with optional alerts for forecast-zone updates and new confirmed swings. Each alert fires once per completed event, never on every tick.
7. Controls to avoid signal clutter
Signal cooldown, minimum distance between same-direction signals, and an optional strong-signal override that you control.
Who benefits most
- Gold (XAUUSD) traders who want a tool built around gold’s volatility behavior.
- Scalpers (M1–M5) who want fast signals and a dedicated M1 preset with tighter filters and shorter horizons.
- Intraday and swing traders (M15–H4) who want structure-aware entries and projected zones, with ready-made H1 and H4 presets.
- Discretionary traders who want a second opinion that explains itself instead of a black-box arrow.
- Systematic and research-minded traders who want a configurable score, a validation report and an indicator they can test, tune and compare across timeframes.
- Traders tired of repainting arrows. Confirmed signals are generated on closed candles with data that would have been available in real time.
Recommended setup
- Attach SSS to XAUUSD and choose your timeframe.
- Load the matching preset (M1 Scalping, H1 Swing or H4 Swing) from the Inputs tab (Load button).
- Make sure the chart has plenty of history (5,000 or more bars is recommended). The forecast engine needs completed samples to learn from.
- Check the Experts log for the validation report, and test on a demo account first.
- Use the dashboard status to understand why SSS is waiting.
Key inputs at a glance
Module switches, ATR and volatility settings, EMA periods, momentum and swing parameters, cycle controls, forecast horizon and sample requirements, score weights, thresholds, cooldown rules, risk-reference multipliers, alert methods, and dashboard and color options. Everything is configurable without editing code.
Important notes
- SSS is a custom indicator. It does not open, modify or close trades.
- It is an analysis tool and does not predict the market with certainty. Projected zones and reference levels are statistical estimates, not guaranteed targets.
- Default settings and score weights are initial research defaults and have not been optimized or proven profitable. Past performance and historical validation metrics do not guarantee future results.
- Results depend on your broker’s data, spreads and market conditions. Always test on a demo account and use proper risk management.
- Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of loss.
