SuperTrend R-Ladder is a rule-based trend-following Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It trades one position at a time with a stop loss on every trade and manages each position through a staged exit plan measured in multiples of the initial risk (R).
How it trades
The EA uses a SuperTrend-based trend engine combined with a proprietary set of trend-strength and market-regime filters. Signals are evaluated only on closed bars, so they do not repaint. Trades are taken only when the trend engine and the filters agree; in flat or low-momentum conditions the EA stays out of the market.
Two signal modes are available: Standard, and Confirmed, which requires additional confirmation and trades less often.
How positions are managed
Every trade is opened with a stop loss and a take profit sent to the broker.
The position is scaled out in stages as price moves in its favour, and the stop is moved to the entry price after the first stage.
An opposite signal closes the position and, if enabled, opens the reverse trade.
If the position is too small to be split, it is held as a single position with the same stop and break-even rules.
Risk and position sizing
Position size is calculated from account equity so that a full stop-out loses the chosen percentage (1% by default), or a fixed lot can be used. If the broker's minimum lot would exceed the chosen risk, the EA can skip the trade.
The EA does not use grid, martingale, averaging or hedging.

The EA uses its own magic number and ignores manual trades and other EAs. After a terminal restart or VPS migration, it rebuilds its trade plan from the open position.
What to expect
Trend-following systems have losing streaks in ranging markets and rely on a smaller number of larger winning trades. Test the EA in the Strategy Tester on your broker's data before using it on a live account. Past test results do not guarantee future results.

Signal: signal mode and trend sensitivity.
Filters: trend-strength and trend-direction filters can be switched on or off.
Stop loss and targets: stop mode and distance, exit stages in R multiples, break-even after the first stage.
Position sizing: risk percent or fixed lot, skip trade when the minimum lot is too large.
Trade management: allowed direction, reverse on opposite signal, magic number, slippage.
