Welcome to Kairos XAU!
Kairos XAU trades the moment New York money arrives in the gold market. During the European session gold often builds a range; at a fixed time the EA places stop orders at both edges and takes the side that breaks.
The European range and the New York open are two different groups of market participants. When New York money pushes price out of the range, the first minutes of the move are often one-directional. The EA takes only that first part and leaves quickly.
No grid, no martingale, no averaging down. Every trade has a stop loss.

Range: XAUUSD high and low from 01:00 to 15:00 server time (GMT+2 / GMT+3).
Entry: buy-stop at the range high and sell-stop at the range low. When one fills, the other is removed. Unfilled orders expire after 8 hours.
Stop loss: daily ATR based.
Exit: break-even, stepped trailing stop, and a time exit within about 1 hour.
Size: lot × 2.5 on days when the breakout level is near a round $50 level and against the 20-day trend (TiltFactor = 1.0 disables it). This changes size only; positions are never added.
Backtesting:
Test on XAUUSD with the default settings, using "Every tick based on real ticks" where available.
Our test (MT5 Strategy Tester, broker XMTrading (symbol GOLD), XAUUSD, 2015.01–2026.09, 0.01 lot, $10,000, model: every tick based on real ticks, default settings):
- Net profit: +$1,161.46
- Trades: 2,626
- Profit factor: 1.47
- Recovery factor: 8.16
- Max equity drawdown: 1.32%
- Win rate: 79.32%
- Average win / loss: +$1.74 / −$4.54
- Years positive: 11 of 12 (2024 negative)
Good to know:
- Trades are short, so a low-spread (ECN/raw) account and a VPS close to your broker give the best results.
Setup:
Attach the EA to one XAUUSD chart (any timeframe). Recommended balance: $500 per 0.01 lot. Account: Hedging or netting. Low-spread (ECN/raw) account and VPS strongly recommended.
Parameters:
- FixedLot / RiskPercent – fixed lot, or risk % of balance
- SL_ATRCoeff – stop loss in daily ATR
- TiltFactor – lot multiplier near $50 levels (1.0 = off)
- Server GMT offset – broker server time
- FridayStopTime – stop trading on Friday
- MagicNumber, OrderComment – general settings
IMPORTANT:
Check the server GMT offset input. The default is correct for brokers whose server time is GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in US summer time (most brokers). For other brokers, set it manually, or the trading times will be shifted.
