QuantFlex is primarily designed for Forex and Gold/Metals trading. The system uses separate baseline calculations for Forex and Gold because their price-distance conventions are different. The default Forex baseline is 25.0 pips, while the default Gold baseline is 25.00 actual price units. These values can be customized directly from the MT5 Inputs panel. The default Risk Reward Ratio is 1.0 and can also be changed according to the user's preferred configuration.

The strategy uses a multi-timeframe structure. By default, H4 is used for higher-timeframe market bias, H2 for Fibonacci swing structure and M5 for entry confirmation. These timeframes are configurable through the available inputs. The higher-timeframe bias uses the 20-period and 200-period SMA relationship and is locked according to the EA's scheduled 12-hour cycle rather than continuously changing with every small market movement. The primary Fibonacci structure is also maintained separately from live price movement, creating a more stable reference for the entry engine.

QuantFlex uses Fibonacci-based trading levels including 0.000, 0.236, 0.500, 0.618, 0.660, 0.786 and 1.000. These levels form part of the EA's structured price-location analysis. The system maintains level-specific trade context, meaning a valid setup at one Fibonacci level does not automatically invalidate a separate valid setup at another level. Duplicate active positions associated with the same Fibonacci level are prevented, while simultaneous valid positions from different Fibonacci levels can be allowed according to the system's logic. The EA does not rely on an artificial fixed daily trade-count limit; trade frequency depends on valid setups, market conditions, active filters and risk controls.

For entry confirmation, QuantFlex uses M5 candle rejection behaviour. The default rejection logic evaluates the relationship between candle wick and candle body. For BUY confirmation, the lower wick is evaluated against the configured rejection relationship, while for SELL confirmation the upper wick is evaluated accordingly. The default architecture uses a 2.0 wick-to-body multiplier. The system also protects against extremely small or zero candle-body situations.

QuantFlex supports delayed M5 confirmation. When price interacts with a valid Fibonacci level but the first M5 candle does not immediately satisfy the required confirmation condition, the EA can continue observing subsequent closed M5 candles within the configured limits. Delayed confirmation is enabled by default, with a maximum observation window of 2 M5 candles and a maximum extension of 0.50 ATR. These values can be changed through the Inputs panel.

The EA includes ATR volatility analysis. The default ATR period is 14, the ATR timeframe is M5 and the minimum normalized ATR threshold is 0.0002. Normalized volatility allows the system to evaluate market movement relative to price instead of relying only on a fixed absolute distance. ATR information is also used by other components such as delayed confirmation and the virtual/shadow trade engine.

ADX analysis is included to evaluate market strength. The default ADX period is 14 and the reference threshold is 22.0. ADR analysis is also available using a default 20-day daily calculation period. ADR can operate in OFF, DIAGNOSTIC or FILTER mode, with the default ADR soft threshold set to 0.80. This allows users to decide how actively ADR information should participate in their configuration.

QuantFlex includes a Trade Quality Score system. The TQS filter can be enabled or disabled. By default, the TQS filter is disabled and the minimum TQS value is 60.0. Advanced users can enable the filter and require setups to meet their selected quality threshold, providing another layer of setup evaluation without forcing every trader to use the same configuration.

High-impact economic news protection is integrated through the MetaTrader 5 Economic Calendar. The news filter is enabled by default and uses a 45-minute protection buffer. The purpose is to reduce exposure around significant scheduled economic events that may produce abnormal volatility, spread expansion and rapid price movement. Users should understand that economic-calendar availability and Strategy Tester behaviour can differ from live operation.

QuantFlex provides configurable risk-based position sizing. The default Risk Value is 1.0%, and the EA calculates position size according to the selected risk calculation method, account conditions, final Stop Loss distance and broker trading specifications. The system normalizes the calculated volume according to the broker's minimum volume, maximum volume and volume-step requirements. Users can change the available risk settings according to their own risk plan, but increasing risk can substantially increase drawdown and capital exposure.

The EA includes daily drawdown protection. The default Maximum Daily Drawdown setting is 5.0%. The system monitors the daily account condition and can stop opening new trades when the configured threshold is reached. This is a risk-control mechanism and not a guarantee that losses can never exceed the selected value. Extreme market movements, gaps, slippage and execution conditions can cause actual results to differ from theoretical risk calculations.

One of the defining components of QuantFlex is its adaptive learning engine. The system records information from completed real trades and uses the collected data for controlled adaptive analysis. The learning engine does not immediately modify behaviour from an empty dataset. The default learning warm-up is 20 completed real trades. During this initial period, the system primarily collects information. Adaptive influence can begin after sufficient real-trade data has been accumulated, starting from trade number 21 under the default configuration.

The adaptive system can analyse historical trade behaviour according to setup characteristics such as symbol, direction, Fibonacci level, market regime and trade performance. MFE and MAE information can also be recorded to provide additional information about how trades behaved after entry. The purpose is not to claim that the EA can predict the future, but to allow the system to use accumulated historical information within predefined limits.

QuantFlex supports adaptive Take Profit and Stop Loss behaviour. The default TP multiplier boundaries are 0.5x minimum and 2.0x maximum, while the default SL multiplier boundaries are 0.6x minimum and 1.8x maximum. These boundaries prevent the adaptive engine from making unrestricted changes. The system therefore remains within controlled limits instead of allowing learning logic to arbitrarily modify risk parameters.

The EA also includes a Virtual/Shadow Trade engine. Virtual Trades are enabled by default. This system can record and analyse certain observed setups without automatically converting every observed opportunity into a real broker position. Virtual trade information is kept separate from real trade information so that analytical observations are not incorrectly treated as executed trades. Virtual performance should never be interpreted as guaranteed live performance.

QuantFlex is designed with persistent-state and restart-resilience architecture. Important trading information can be stored and recovered so that a terminal restart does not necessarily force the EA to behave as if it were installed for the first time. The recovery architecture can maintain information related to daily state, locked market bias, Fibonacci structure, active positions, position context, MFE/MAE tracking and learning information.

The EA also contains duplicate-trade protection. Setup identification uses a combination of symbol, Fibonacci level and candle time to distinguish individual setups. This helps protect against repeated execution of the same setup during rapid ticks, terminal reconnections or restart situations.

QuantFlex includes trade-recovery handling for situations where broker execution and position visibility do not occur simultaneously from the EA's perspective. The default Position Recovery Timeout is 10 seconds. This allows the system to temporarily track an execution before resolving the resulting position and updating internal trade state.

QuantFlex uses controlled trade registration so that broker execution, position identification, internal position context and persistent state remain synchronized as far as practical. This is important because automated trading systems must handle situations where an order has been transmitted but the resulting position is not immediately visible to the EA. The architecture is designed to reduce inconsistencies between broker positions and internal strategy records.

QuantFlex is broker-aware. It does not assume that every broker has identical tick sizes, digits, tick values, contract specifications, minimum lots, maximum lots or volume steps. Position sizing and trade validation are designed around the symbol's actual trading specifications. Before trade transmission, the EA can validate relevant execution conditions including Bid/Ask alignment, Stop Loss and Take Profit placement, broker stop levels, freeze levels, spread conditions and volume requirements.

The EA uses a configurable Magic Number, with 7779991 as the default. This allows QuantFlex to identify its own trades and helps separate them from trades belonging to other strategies or EA instances. Users running multiple independent configurations should use appropriate unique Magic Numbers.

QuantFlex provides extensive user customization through the MetaTrader 5 Inputs panel. Traders are not permanently locked into one configuration. Supported parameters include risk settings, baseline distances, RR, timeframes, confirmation settings, ATR, ADX, ADR, TQS, news protection, learning parameters, virtual trades, adaptive boundaries and other available controls. Users can change these parameters according to their own trading plan and then independently backtest the resulting configuration.

MAIN PARAMETERS

• Magic Number: Unique identifier used by the EA to identify its own trades. Default: 7779991.

• Risk Calculation Mode: Determines the method used by the EA for calculating trading risk.

• Risk Value: Defines the selected risk value according to the chosen risk calculation mode. Default: 1.0%.

• Maximum Daily Drawdown: Defines the daily drawdown protection level. Default: 5.0%.

• Position Recovery Timeout: Defines the recovery waiting period when execution and position visibility require additional time. Default: 10 seconds.

• Enable Delayed M5 Confirmation: Enables or disables delayed confirmation.

• Maximum Delayed Confirmation Candles: Defines the maximum number of closed M5 candles considered after the initial interaction. Default: 2.

• Delayed Maximum Extension ATR: Defines the maximum permitted extension during delayed confirmation. Default: 0.50 ATR.

• Use News Filter: Enables or disables high-impact economic-news protection. Default: Enabled.

• News Buffer Minutes: Defines the configured protection period around high-impact news. Default: 45 minutes.

• ADR Mode: Allows ADR to operate in OFF, DIAGNOSTIC or FILTER mode.

• ADR Soft Threshold: Controls the ADR filter threshold. Default: 0.80.

• Use TQS Filter: Enables or disables Trade Quality Score filtering.

The available inputs allow users to create different configurations without modifying the EA source code. For example, users can test different risk levels, Forex or Gold baseline distances, RR values, confirmation settings, filter combinations and adaptive-learning boundaries. Any customized configuration should be independently tested before live use. Changing an input can materially change the EA's trading behaviour, risk and historical performance.

QuantFlex is primarily intended for traders who want systematic automated trading in Forex and Gold, understand the risks of leveraged trading and want control over important strategy parameters. It is suitable for traders who prefer algorithmic execution, structured market analysis and configurable risk management. It is not intended for traders looking for guaranteed profit, guaranteed monthly income, zero drawdown or a system that never experiences losing trades.

For continuous automated operation, a reliable VPS is recommended. A VPS can help keep MetaTrader 5, the EA and the internet connection running continuously, but a VPS does not eliminate market risk and cannot guarantee perfect execution.

BACKTESTING AND FORWARD TESTING

QuantFlex should be tested using the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester before live deployment. When evaluating the EA, traders should examine more than net profit. Maximum drawdown, profit factor, number of trades, average win and loss, consecutive losses, recovery periods, equity curve and behaviour across different market conditions are all important.

Backtesting cannot perfectly reproduce future live execution. Historical results may differ materially from live results because of spread, commission, slippage, liquidity, execution speed, price-feed differences, VPS/network conditions, market gaps, news events and broker-specific conditions. Gold can experience particularly rapid price movements, spread expansion, slippage and unexpected volatility.

Forward testing on a demo account using the exact broker, symbol, account type, leverage and EA configuration intended for live trading is strongly recommended before committing significant capital.
