Fractal Adaptive Channel

Fractal Structure • Linear Regression • Fibonacci Levels • Volume Order Blocks

Fractal Adaptive Channel is a dynamic MT5 market-structure indicator designed to identify potential price reaction, continuation, support and resistance areas using a combination of hourly fractal structure, linear regression smoothing and Fibonacci-based internal and external levels. The channel is rebuilt each trading day using the previous day's hourly fractal high and low structure and is anchored to the 00:00 UTC daily separation point. Rather than relying on a static channel, Fractal Adaptive Channel adapts to the previous day's market structure and uses linear regression to create a smoothed directional framework for the current trading session.

The result is a structured visual map of potential price-action areas that can be used for intraday trading, breakout analysis, retracements, reversals and continuation setups.

How the Fractal Adaptive Channel Works

The channel begins with the previous day's hourly fractal structure.

Previous-day fractal highs and lows are used to establish the underlying market range. That structure is then processed through linear regression smoothing to create the adaptive channel. The channel is anchored to the previous day's 00:00 UTC period separation, creating a consistent daily structural reference. At the beginning of each new UTC trading day, the channel is rebuilt using the newly completed previous-day structure. This allows the channel to adapt to changing market conditions rather than remaining fixed indefinitely.

Fibonacci-Based Internal & External Levels

Inside and outside the primary channel, the indicator plots Fibonacci-based levels designed to provide additional reference points around the adaptive structure.

Internal Fibonacci Levels

Internal levels help divide the channel into potential reaction areas as price moves through the established range.

These levels can be useful for identifying:

Potential retracement areas
Intermediate support/resistance
Pullback zones
Continuation levels
Areas where price may consolidate or react

External Fibonacci Levels

External Fibonacci extensions project beyond the primary channel structure.

These levels can help identify potential:

Breakout targets
Extension areas
Exhaustion zones
Resistance above the channel
Support below the channel
Potential reversal areas after extended movement

The Fibonacci levels are intended as areas of interest, not automatic buy or sell signals.

Volume-Based Order Block Engine

Fractal Adaptive Channel also includes the Volume-Based Order Block engine.

This component uses tick-volume analysis combined with HMA-based calculations to identify areas associated with elevated volume activity and directional volume characteristics. The Order Block engine can display estimated: BUY % / SELL %

These percentages are derived from available tick-volume data and are intended to estimate relative buying and selling pressure. They should not be interpreted as actual exchange-level bid/ask volume.

Volume Sensitivity

The Order Block engine provides multiple sensitivity levels so traders can control how aggressively volume-based areas are identified.

Sensitivity 1

More sensitive to volume changes and capable of identifying more potential areas.

Sensitivity 3

A moderate/balanced setting.

Sensitivity 5

Less sensitive and more selective, focusing on stronger volume conditions.

This allows the same indicator to be adapted to different trading styles and market conditions.

Multi-Timeframe Order Blocks

The Order Block engine can analyze several timeframes independently of the active chart. Available timeframe selections include:

Current
M5
M15
H1

For example, a trader can remain on an M3 chart while viewing M15 or H1 Order Blocks as higher-timeframe areas of interest. This provides a convenient way to combine lower-timeframe price action with broader volume-based market structure.

Filled & Unfilled Order Block Visualization

The Order Block display can be configured to show the identified areas with or without filled zones.

Filled Zones

Provides a stronger visual representation of the Order Block areas and their relative bullish/bearish structure.

Unfilled Zones

Provides a cleaner chart presentation while retaining the Order Block boundaries and information.

This allows traders to choose between a more visual presentation and a cleaner minimalist chart.

On-Chart Controls

Fractal Adaptive Channel includes an on-chart control system designed to keep the most important functions immediately accessible.

The primary components can be toggled directly from the chart without repeatedly opening the indicator properties.
