GOLDMOMENTUMPRO
A focused, honest trend-following Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD) on the Daily timeframe.
WHAT IT DOES
GoldMomentumPro opens positions based on the direction of each closed Daily candle:
- BUY after a bullish candle, but only if the close is above a 110-period Simple Moving Average and the ADX(14) shows a real trend (>= 20).
- SELL after a bearish candle, with the symmetrical conditions on the downside.
Positions in the same direction are accumulated with a linear lot multiplier (1x, 2x, 3x...) and managed as a directional group. The group is closed when the floating profit reaches +130 currency units or the floating loss reaches -100 currency units (calibrated for a 10.000 account with 0.01 base lot).
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
- No martingale (linear scaling, not exponential).
- No grid (positions go in one direction at a time).
- No hidden Take Profit / Stop Loss tricks.
- No fake "guaranteed" returns.
- No news scalping. No high-frequency trading.
IMPORTANT - ASSET-SPECIFIC EA
This EA is asset-specific. It has been validated on XAUUSD Daily ONLY.
We tested it on EURUSD, GBPUSD, BTCUSD and US30 and it does NOT perform consistently
on those instruments. Please do not use it outside XAUUSD Daily.
WHY THE LOGIC WORKS ON GOLD
Gold has structural multi-week trends driven by macro factors (Fed policy, inflation, geopolitical risk). The Daily timeframe filters out intraday noise, the MA(110) confirms direction, and the ADX filter avoids ranging markets where the strategy underperforms.
WHAT YOU NEED
- MetaTrader 5 with Algo Trading enabled
- XAUUSD chart, Daily (D1) timeframe
- Minimum recommended balance: 10.000 account currency units (use 0.01 lot per 10.000)
- Any broker that allows EA trading on gold (low spread recommended, but not critical for Daily)
- VPS NOT required (the EA trades once per day at candle close)

GoldMomentumPro shows a live info panel on the chart:
- Active filters and parameters
- Current direction (BUY / SELL / None)
- Number of open positions
- Floating profit/loss of the group with color feedback
CONFIGURATION
All parameters are documented and configurable. Default values are the ones validated by the backtest. Recommended: do not change them unless you understand the trade-offs (a user manual is included explaining each setting).
WHAT I PROMISE YOU
- The same EA you see in the screenshots is what you download. No hidden differences.
- All backtest data shown are real, from a regulated broker, on real spreads, with realistic execution.
- This strategy has bad years too (sideways gold markets). Do not buy if you cannot tolerate a 5-6% yearly drawdown in worst-case scenarios.
