AURUM TOUCHSTONE — Honest, regime-gated gold (XAUUSD) expert advisor
Aurum Touchstone is a transparent automated strategy for XAUUSD on the M15 timeframe. Every trade is protected by a real, fixed stop-loss. There is no martingale, no grid, no averaging-down and no hidden recovery — what you see in the strategy tester is exactly how it trades live.
HOW IT WORKS
It harvests many small, high-probability trades with a fixed take-profit and a real stop-loss. A position is opened only when three independent filters agree:
- a higher-timeframe trend regime is in force,
- multi-timeframe direction confirms the trade side,
- a market-structure filter confirms conditions are orderly (it automatically stands down in choppy markets).
Periods with no trades are normal and by design.

PRESETS

- Conservative: win rate ~80%, profit factor ~1.89, maximum drawdown ~8%; both 2025 and 2026 positive.
- Aggressive: higher net result at a moderately higher drawdown (~11%).

MARKET CONDITIONS
- Strongest in trending gold (especially up-trends); most of the profit comes from trending months.
- In ranging/choppy markets it deliberately trades much less and stays patient (no-trade periods are normal).
- Downtrends are handled in tests (it can trade the short side), but a prolonged gold bear market is the least-tested regime — size accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS
- Symbol XAUUSD (or GOLD), timeframe M15, one chart.
- Hedging or netting account. Tested at 1:500 leverage (lower is fine).
- Recommended minimum balance about 500 USD (flat 0.01 base lot).
SETUP
Attach to an XAUUSD M15 chart, choose a preset, enable algo trading. Always forward-test on a demo of your own broker before going live.
RISK
Trading leveraged gold carries substantial risk; use only capital you can afford to lose. Every trade has a real stop-loss, but in fast markets, news events, or weekend gaps the price can jump past the stop and fill worse than the stop level — so an individual loss can exceed the intended stop amount. The EA can hold positions over the weekend; flatten manually before the weekend if you want to avoid gap risk. Results also depend on your broker's spread and execution.
