Session Timeline is a professional-grade visual panel indicator that displays all major Forex trading sessions on an intuitive 24-hour timeline directly on your chart. Designed for traders who need instant awareness of market activity, session overlaps, and countdown timers — all in one clean, draggable panel.

Smart GMT Auto-Detection Automatically detects your broker's GMT offset at startup and rechecks every 60 seconds. Seamlessly handles Daylight Saving Time transitions between winter (GMT+2) and summer (GMT+3) — or any broker offset worldwide — without any manual configuration required.
24-Hour Session Timeline Displays Sydney, Tokyo, London, and New York sessions as colour-coded horizontal bars across a full 24-hour grid. Active sessions glow at full brightness while closed sessions fade to a subtle dim — giving you instant visual clarity at a glance.
Session Overlap Strips Three dedicated overlap indicator strips sit below the session grid, one for each overlap pair:
- Sydney + Tokyo
- Tokyo + London
- London + New York (Main Focus)
Each strip spans the full 24-hour timeline. The overlap window dims when inactive and lights up bright when both sessions are currently open — instantly showing you the highest-liquidity periods of the trading day.
Live Countdown Timers Every session row displays a live countdown showing exactly how long until the next session opens, or how much time remains before it closes. Updates every second in real time.
Session Open & Close Alerts Configurable MT5 alert popups notify you X minutes before any session opens or closes. Set separate lead times for open and close alerts, or disable either independently.
Weekend Market Status When the market is closed on Saturday or Sunday, the panel displays a live countdown showing exactly how long until the market reopens on Monday.
Draggable Panel Click and drag the title bar to position the panel anywhere on your chart. Chart scrolling is automatically locked during dragging so the chart never pans underneath you. Panel position, theme, and minimized state are saved across chart reloads using MT5 Global Variables.
Minimize & Restore Collapse the panel to a slim title bar with one click to free up chart space. Restore it just as easily. The clock continues updating even when minimized.
Dark & Light Themes Switch between a sleek dark theme and a clean light theme instantly with the built-in theme toggle button in the title bar. All colours — session blocks, overlap strips, labels, grid, and buttons — adapt fully to the selected theme.
