Trend Filter By HYPOLITE MAKER (v3.00)

Trend Filter is a visual indicator for MetaTrader 5 designed to clean up your charts and display the market's true trend. It eliminates market noise and visual traps to help you stay on the right side of the market, with significantly less lag than standard moving averages.

Visuals & Key Features

  • The Central Line: It changes color to give you the market direction at a glance. Green for an uptrend, Red for a downtrend, and Yellow when the market is hesitating or changing direction.

  • Confirmation Dots: The indicator does not jump on every minor price movement. It waits for the trend to establish strength before displaying confirmation dots (Green below the price for buys, Red above the price for sells).

  • Market Adaptation: The distance of the dots automatically adapts to market conditions: it widens during volatile periods and tightens when the market goes quiet.

  • Automatic Alerts: You receive a notification directly on your platform as soon as a trend (bullish or bearish) is officially confirmed.

How to Use It Daily?

⚠️ Essential Reminder: This tool is designed for trending markets. Like all indicators of this type, it will be less effective and may generate false signals when the market is moving sideways (ranging).

  1. The Filter: Check the color of the line. Only look for buy setups if it is green, and only look for sell setups if it is red.

  2. The Signal: Wait for the green or red dots to appear to confirm that the movement has momentum before entering a trade.

  3. Protection: You can use the level of the dots or the gray line to place your safety level (Stop Loss).

Simple Settings (Inputs)

You can easily adjust the parameters to fit your trading style (Scalping, Day Trading, or Swing Trading):

  • Length / Damping: To make the indicator faster (more reactive) or slower (more stable).

  • Rising / Falling threshold: The number of confirmation candles required before the signal dots appear.

  • Alerts: A simple True/False switch to turn notifications on or off.
