Breakeven and Swaps Dashboard

Breakeven and Swaps Dashboard is a lightweight on-chart dashboard for MetaTrader 5 that summarises your open positions on the current symbol and draws two breakeven levels per side:

  • Breakeven (price only) – ignores swaps

  • Breakeven (including swaps) – adjusts the breakeven level using accumulated swaps

It is designed for traders running baskets, grids or multi-entry positions who want a quick, readable view of where the book truly breaks even.

What it shows

For Buy, Sell and Overall (combined):

  • Total positions (count)

  • Total lots

  • P/L (ex swap) (profit/loss excluding swaps)

  • Total swaps

  • Net P/L (profit/loss including swaps)

  • Pips to breakeven shown next to P/L (e.g. -3,389.00 (100 pips) )

What it draws on the chart

  • Buy breakeven lines (green):

    • Solid thicker line = breakeven (no swaps)

    • Dashed thicker line = breakeven (with swaps)

  • Sell breakeven lines (orange):

    • Solid thicker line = breakeven (no swaps)

    • Dashed thicker line = breakeven (with swaps)

Breakeven lines only appear when there are open positions on that side.

Alerts (sound)

Optional sound alerts can be enabled for when price reaches:

  • Breakeven (no swaps)

  • Breakeven (with swaps)

Alerts are designed to trigger on a clean “hit/cross” event rather than continuously.

Compact mode and minimise button

  • Compact mode reduces the dashboard footprint for small charts

  • A MIN toggle button collapses the view to Overall only and expands again when clicked

Customisation

Inputs are provided to customise:

  • Dashboard corner (default top-right) and padding

  • Font (default Lucida Console), font size and line spacing

  • Buy/Sell/Overall text colours

  • Line colours, thickness and dash styles

  • Enable/disable lines, pips display and sound alerts

Notes

  • This is an indicator only and does not place trades.

  • It uses your platform’s position data (including swaps) for calculations.

  • Commission is intentionally excluded (treated as cost of execution).

Installation

  1. Copy the compiled EX5 into:
    MQL5/Indicators/

  2. Restart MetaTrader 5 (or right-click Navigator → Indicators → Refresh)

  3. Drag Breakeven and Swaps Dashboard onto a chart
