SuperTrend Gold MT5

SuperTrend Gold Trend Filter is a trend-following Expert Advisor designed for XAUUSD (Gold). It enters trades in the direction of a SuperTrend signal on the trading timeframe, but only when a higher-timeframe SuperTrend confirms the same direction.

The higher-timeframe filter helps avoid trading against the dominant trend and reduces activity during sideways market conditions.

Every trade is protected by a hard stop loss from the moment it opens. A trailing stop follows the SuperTrend line, allowing profitable trends to run while limiting drawdown. The EA maintains only one open position at a time and automatically reverses when the trend changes.



No grid. No martingale. No averaging.
All trades are fully transparent and managed with predefined risk.

How It Works

  • Primary signal (entry)
    SuperTrend (ATR-based) on the chart timeframe generates trade direction at the close of each bar.

  • Higher timeframe confirmation
    A SuperTrend on a higher timeframe (default H4) acts as a trend filter:

    • Buy trades only when the higher timeframe trend is bullish

    • Sell trades only when the higher timeframe trend is bearish

  • Exit logic
    Positions are closed by:

    • SuperTrend reversal

    • Trailing stop (following SuperTrend line)

    • Hard stop loss

Strategy Characteristics

This is a directional trend-following system:

  • Performs best in strong trending markets

  • Trades less frequently during sideways conditions

  • May experience flat or slow periods when the market lacks direction
