Bit Surge trades Bitcoin (BTCUSD) on H4. It buys dips and sells rallies inside the trend, during New York hours.
WHY IT'S SAFER
• Small losses, big wins: the average win is 2.2x the average loss, and the worst single loss in 3 years was 0.8 % of the account.
• One losing trade can't snowball: no martingale, no grid, no averaging down, a stop loss on every trade and a fixed risk per trade you choose.
• Profitable in every year of the 3-year test.
• Worst drawdown in 3 years: 5.5 % (MT5, open trades included).
• 2020 COVID crash: it fell at most 2.5 % and still made money.
• Monte Carlo, 2,000 reshuffled trade orders: 96.5 % of them ended in profit, the worst 5 % fell at most 11.28%.
• Still profitable with double spread plus commission and with a slow broker (random delays).
• Passed walk-forward and purged cross-validation, so it is not fitted to one piece of history.
• Tested against prop-firm-style rules (5 % daily loss, 10 % max loss) on 3 years of history, open trades included: never broke them at the default lot. Prop-mode settings files included.
• All of this is a hypothetical backtest. Nothing here is a guarantee: losses happen.
HOW IT TRADES
• Signals on closed bars only, one position at a time, a stop loss on every trade.
• No martingale, no grid, no averaging down. It only touches its own orders (magic number).
• Risk per trade from your inputs (tested: 1 % of equity). The lot is calculated from the stop distance.
• If the smallest lot would risk more than your setting, the trade is skipped.
HYPOTHETICAL BACKTEST (Oct 2023 to Oct 2026, 1 % risk per trade)
• 160 trades, win rate 41 %, max drawdown 5.5 %, longest losing streak 9.
• About 4.4 trades a month. Average win 2.2x the average loss.
HOW IT WAS TESTED
Double spread plus commission, random execution delays, settings moved 20 % up and down, the 2020 crash, 2,000 Monte Carlo reshuffles, walk-forward re-optimisation, 15-split purged cross-validation and a market-regime breakdown.
Result: it passed every check.
SETUP
1. Attach it to a Bitcoin (BTCUSD) chart on H4.
2. Keep the default inputs (they are the tested settings), allow Algo Trading.
3. Account: $3,000 or more, or a cent account (below that the smallest lot, 0.01, risks more than 1 % on a Bitcoin stop).
4. Run it on a demo account for at least 2 weeks first.
