Trade Horizon GoldApex is a multi-strategy breakout Expert Advisor developed primarily for Gold / XAUUSD on MetaTrader 5.
GoldApex combines 7 independent structural breakout strategies inside one EA. Each strategy monitors price structure, identifies its own breakout opportunities and manages its trades independently.
Only one chart is required. GoldApex handles its internal strategy logic automatically and can use Buy Stop and Sell Stop pending orders when valid breakout conditions are detected.
IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
For the intended GoldApex setup:
- MetaTrader 5
- Hedging account required
- Minimum account balance: $500
- Gold / XAUUSD recommended
- Algo Trading enabled
- Stable broker execution
- Reliable VPS recommended
A Hedging account is required because multiple internal strategies may hold separate positions on the same symbol at the same time.
Please confirm that your MT5 account uses Hedging, not Netting, before purchasing.
The $500 minimum starting balance is required for the intended setup. Margin requirements vary between brokers depending on leverage, contract specifications and the broker's minimum lot size, so maintaining additional free margin is recommended.
HOW GOLDAPEX TRADES
GoldApex is based on market structure and breakout levels rather than simple indicator crossovers.
The basic process is:
Scan market structure → identify breakout level → place pending order → manage the trade
The EA can trade both bullish and bearish setups.
Its seven internal strategies operate independently, so different strategies may identify opportunities at different times.
Trade frequency is not fixed. Some market periods can produce several setups, while others may remain quiet.
TRADE MANAGEMENT
Every position begins with its own initial Stop Loss and Take Profit.
Depending on the strategy and market conditions, GoldApex can also use:
- Break-even protection
- Normal trailing Stop Loss
- Structural trailing
- Dynamic Take Profit management
- Early adverse-trade exits
- Pending-order expiry and validation
- Daily and total drawdown protection
Different internal strategies may manage their positions differently.
GoldApex does not rely on partial closing as its primary trade-management method.
NO MARTINGALE OR GRID
GoldApex does not use:
- Martingale
- Grid recovery
- Loss averaging
- Lot multiplication after losses
- Larger recovery trades after a losing trade
A losing trade is accepted as part of the trading process.
The EA does not automatically increase the next position size simply because the previous trade lost.
This does not eliminate normal trading risk or drawdown.
MONEY MANAGEMENT
GoldApex includes practical money-management controls while keeping the public Inputs panel simple.
Before live trading, always check:
- Lot size
- Money-management mode
- Account leverage
- Gold contract specifications
- Broker minimum volume
- Available margin
- Drawdown settings
Minimum starting balance: $500.
Start with a small position size and test GoldApex on a demo account before using real funds.
A larger balance does not guarantee better performance, and the same lot size can produce different margin requirements with different brokers.
BROKER AND EXECUTION
Execution quality is important for Gold breakout trading.
Results can differ between brokers because of:
- Spread
- Commission
- Slippage
- Liquidity
- Stops and freeze levels
- Contract specifications
- Minimum lot size
- Leverage
- Server execution
- Price-feed differences
- VPS latency
A broker with stable XAUUSD execution and reasonable trading costs is recommended.
GoldApex includes broker-aware checks for price validity, order distance, trading volume, margin and other execution conditions before submitting trade requests.
DRAWDOWN PROTECTION
GoldApex monitors both daily drawdown and total drawdown.
When configured protection limits are reached, the EA can restrict new trading according to its internal rules.
These protections can help control exposure, but they cannot guarantee an exact maximum loss during gaps, slippage, connection problems or abnormal market conditions.
NEWS AND MARKET PROTECTION
GoldApex includes protection logic designed to reduce new exposure around selected high-impact market conditions.
It also includes trading-session and end-of-week protection logic.
No news or session filter can completely remove trading risk.
DASHBOARD
GoldApex includes a Trade Horizon branded dashboard displaying important information such as:

- Money-management mode
- Open positions
- Pending orders
- Daily drawdown
- Total drawdown
- News-filter status
The dashboard can be hidden if you prefer a cleaner chart.
Hiding the dashboard does not stop the trading engine.
INSTALLATION
- Install GoldApex through the MetaTrader 5 Market.
- Use an account with at least $500 starting balance.
- Confirm that your MT5 account is Hedging.
- Open your broker's Gold / XAUUSD chart.
- Attach Trade Horizon GoldApex.
- Enable Algo Trading.
- Check the dashboard status.
- Verify your lot size and money-management settings.
- Test on demo before using real funds.
- Use a reliable VPS for continuous operation.
Only one chart is required for the seven internal strategies.
BACKTESTING
GoldApex supports the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester.
For higher-quality historical testing, use:

whenever reliable data is available.
Use realistic:

- Broker specifications
Backtests cannot perfectly reproduce real-world slippage, gaps, liquidity, latency or broker execution.
