1. Overview
JoSab Prop Firm Edge Pro (MT5) is a fully automated Expert Advisor engineered for prop-firm evaluations and funded-account management. It combines institutional Supply & Demand execution with an integrated Prop Firm Risk Engine to support disciplined trading and account protection.
The EA detects consolidation, validates directional movement and waits for price to re-enter a qualified Demand or Supply zone. Entries are therefore based on controlled zone re-entry rather than breakout chasing. Open positions are managed automatically with Stop Loss, Take Profit, optional trailing and TP1 → Breakeven → TP2 management.
Prop Firm Journey: Challenge → Risk Control → Funded Account → Account Management → Scaling.
The Prop Firm Risk Engine is ON by default. It monitors configured daily loss, overall loss and profit-target limits. Recommended daily-loss protection is 4% or 5%, depending on the firm's rules and the trader's preferred safety margin.
Important: Prop-firm rules differ. Configure the EA to the exact drawdown, reset and account rules of the firm being traded. The EA does not guarantee a challenge pass, profit, or protection from all account losses.
2. Core Trading Logic
2.1 Zone Detection
The EA identifies consolidation from completed bars. The base high and low define the candidate zone; bullish departure creates Demand and bearish departure creates Supply. Zones are tracked as untested, tested, broken or expired.
2.2 Impulse Validation
Optional impulse validation confirms sufficient movement away from the zone before it becomes tradable. Default: ON, 3 bars, multiplier 1.0.
2.3 Trend Confirmation
Optional trend confirmation checks whether recent price movement supports the zone direction. Default: OFF; lookback 10 bars; minimum confirmation 1 point.
2.4 Entry & Zone Rules
Trades are considered only while price is inside a validated zone. Zone reuse, trade limits, broken-zone behavior, size/quality filters and trade direction are configurable. Default direction: Both.
Default zone settings: consolidation 5 bars; minimum move-away 50 points; extension 150 bars; maximum trades per zone 1.
3. Trade & Risk Management
3.1 Standard Stop Loss / Take Profit
Every standard trade opens with protective SL and TP. Default SL: 10,000 points. Default TP: 2,000 points.
3.2 Trailing Stop
Optional trailing activates after the configured minimum profit and moves only to improve protection. Defaults: 2,000-point trailing distance; 5,000-point activation profit.
3.3 TP1 → Breakeven → TP2
A signal can open two independent legs. TP1 secures the first target; once TP1 is reached, TP2's SL moves to breakeven plus/minus the configured buffer while TP2 continues toward the larger target.
Defaults: feature ON; TP1 0.01 lots / 2,000 points; TP2 0.01 lots / 20,000 points; breakeven buffer 20 points. An MT5 Hedging account is required.
3.4 TP2 Breakeven-Lock
Enabled by default. TP2 receives breakeven protection after TP1 and is excluded from normal trailing, allowing the runner to continue toward TP2.
4. Prop Firm Risk Engine
The Prop Firm Risk Engine is ON by default and provides configurable account-level protection. Settings must match the exact rules of the prop-firm account.
- Daily Loss: recommended 4% or 5% of initial balance. At the configured floor, managed positions close and new entries are blocked until the next D1 trading day.
- Overall Loss: default 10% of initial balance. At the limit, managed positions close and new entries halt for the current EA session until restart.
- Profit Target: default 10% of initial balance. At the target, managed positions close and new entries halt for the current EA session.
- Default controls: Risk Engine ON; Daily Loss ON; Overall Loss ON; Profit Target ON.
5. Visual Zone Display
Supply and Demand zones are displayed directly on the MT5 chart with configurable colors. Broken and expired zones can be retained or removed.
6. On-Chart Dashboard
The dashboard can be Always visible, Trade Open Only or Off. It shows active zones, EA-managed positions, direction, lot size, SL price/distance and monetary SL exposure. Up to 8 position/risk rows are shown; additional positions are summarized. Default mode: Always.

Optimized for XAUUSD on H3. Independently backtest other symbols or timeframes before live use.
8. Backtesting & Deployment
- Use MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester with "Every Tick based on real ticks" when available.
- Begin with default inputs; assess spread, commission, slippage, drawdown and execution quality.
- Forward-test on demo before live deployment.
- For prop-firm use, match the Risk Engine settings to the firm's actual rules.
- The EA uses fixed lot inputs. Position size must suit equity, leverage, margin and the broker's XAUUSD contract specification.
- SL, TP, trailing and breakeven values use MT5 points; verify point size, tick value and stop/freeze levels.

10. Recommended Broker, Backtesting & Live Trading Setup
Recommended Broker & Account
For tight-spread and low-commission conditions, the supplied setup guide recommends Exness Raw Spread. Minimum reference capital: USD 200.

Important: The supplied setup guide is optimized for XAUUSD and specifies H3 for backtesting and live trading.
2026 Onward
Use "Every Tick Based On Real Ticks"; test from January 2026 onward; use default inputs. Standard lot: 0.01. At USD 200, use 0.01 lots each for TP1 and TP2.
Reference sizing: each USD 200 of equity corresponds to 0.01 lots per leg. USD 600 → 0.02 each or less; USD 1,000 → 0.05 each, or 0.025 each for a more conservative profile.
2025 and Earlier
Change only: Trailing Stop 200 points; Take Profit 200 points; TP1 200 points; TP2 5,000–20,000 points (20,000 reference). Keep all other settings at default.
Broker Point/Pip Variance
Broker point/pip conventions differ. If necessary, use TP1 at 500–1,000 points while keeping TP2 higher than TP1.
Position sizing remains the trader's responsibility. Built-in controls cannot make an oversized position safe.
11. Licensing & Activation
JoSab Prop Firm Edge Pro is licensed software. Live/demo execution requires a valid activation key for the authorized MT5 account; Strategy Tester use requires no key. Unauthorized redistribution, resale or sharing is prohibited.
12. Risk Disclaimer
Forex, Gold and CFD trading involves substantial risk. The Prop Firm Risk Engine is configurable and cannot guarantee compliance with every firm's rules. Gaps, slippage, spread expansion, disconnections, broker restrictions and market closures can affect results.
