SuperTrend ST EA is a fully automated trend-following Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. Built on the battle-tested SuperTrend indicator with an additional breakout filter, it only enters trades when the trend is confirmed AND the market is moving with genuine momentum — keeping you out of costly whipsaws in choppy, sideways conditions.
How it works
The EA continuously calculates a dynamic SuperTrend band. The lower band can only rise, never fall. The upper band can only fall, never rise. This single mechanic — borrowed directly from the original SuperTrend design — eliminates the false reversals that plague simpler trend-following systems. You only trade when the move is real.
Dynamic trailing stop — the engine that grows your profits
Once in a trade, a dynamic trailing stop tracks the most favourable price seen since entry. For longs it records the highest low; for shorts, the lowest high. The stop-loss line moves only in your favour — it never retreats. The result: small losses are cut fast, and winning trends are ridden until the market proves the move is over.
Automatic position sizing
The EA calculates lot size on every trade using your account equity and a user-defined risk percentage. The larger your account, the more lots it trades. The higher the stop distance relative to your balance, the fewer lots it opens. No manual calculation required.
