LIMITED FREE RELEASE
This Expert Advisor is temporarily available free of charge. The free release may end at any time.
If you decide to test it, I would greatly appreciate an honest review based on your experience with the EA.
I am also particularly interested in promising parameter sets found on different symbols and timeframes. Please include the symbol, timeframe, test period, number of trades and modelling method so the results can be reproduced.
I am currently working on a new Expert Advisor that is in private development. Users who provide particularly useful testing feedback may be offered private access to this new EA.
Continuation Guard EA
Continuation Guard is built for traders who want an automated strategy to behave less like an entry machine and more like a disciplined trading system. It does not chase every price move. It waits for market structure to confirm a continuation opportunity, enters only when its conditions align, and manages the position according to clearly defined risk and invalidation rules.
At the core of the strategy is a simple idea: a good entry is only the beginning of a trade. Continuation Guard combines break, reclaim and retest behaviour with active position management, allowing the EA to protect profitable trades, react to fading momentum and exit positions that remain open without developing as expected.
There is no martingale, no grid and no averaging down. Instead, the EA is designed around selective entries, controlled exposure and configurable trade management. With ready-to-use presets for Forex, gold and major indices, the same framework can be tested across different markets while keeping the underlying trading logic consistent.
Trading and Position Management
Trade management is an important part of the system. The EA does not simply open a position and wait for a fixed outcome. Several management components can be configured or disabled according to the instrument and trading style.
The EA includes:
-
configurable break-even management;
-
optional partial profit protection;
-
volatility-aware trade evaluation;
-
the Zombie Exit system for positions that remain open without sufficient progress;
-
configurable stop and risk management;
-
fixed-lot or percentage-based position sizing.
The Zombie Exit system evaluates trades that have remained active without developing as expected. A position is closed only when the configured conditions align, and an optional cooldown can be used to avoid excessive intervention.
This allows the user to decide how actively positions should be managed while keeping the underlying continuation logic unchanged.
Multi-Market and Portfolio Use
Continuation Guard includes 10 ready-to-use presets covering a diversified selection of markets.
The strategy can be tested on major Forex pairs, JPY crosses, XAUUSD and indices such as NDX, DAX and NI225. The included presets provide starting configurations for different instruments, while the main strategy components remain fully adjustable.
The EA can therefore be used on a single market or across several instruments as part of a diversified trading approach.
Recommended timeframes are H1 and H4. A low-spread broker environment is preferred.
Because spreads, commissions, trading sessions and price data differ between brokers, users should test the EA with their own broker data before using it on a live account.
Configuration
The main strategy and trade-management components can be enabled, disabled or adjusted from the EA inputs.
This makes it possible to test different combinations of entry conditions, trade management and risk settings without changing the core strategy.
The supplied presets are intended as practical starting points. Users who wish to optimize the EA can also search for configurations suited to other symbols and timeframes and then validate them over sufficiently long historical periods.
Who Is Continuation Guard For?
Continuation Guard is intended for traders who prefer selective, rule-based continuation trading with explicit risk management.
It may be particularly suitable for traders who want an automated strategy without martingale, grid or averaging-down recovery systems, and for those interested in testing one consistent trading framework across several markets.
The EA offers considerable control over its behaviour while retaining the same underlying principle: identify continuation, manage the trade while that continuation remains valid, and react when the original setup begins to fail.
Risk
Trading involves risk and past performance does not guarantee future results.
Backtests, presets and historical results should be treated as research tools rather than guarantees of future performance. Risk settings should always be appropriate for the account on which the EA is used.
