É claro, um backtest não pode dizer tudo o que você precisa. Por exemplo, GBPUSD agora está mudando de direção para uma tendência de queda (de ~1.64000 em 02.12.2013).

É uma boa oportunidade para usar a estratégia de grade a beneficiar dessa queda. Teste tendências de alta e de baixa anteriores para ajustar a melhor grade para este par. Você precisa usar um pouco de cérebro para ter resultados com esta estratégia, não apenas executá-la selvagemente. Ou "executá-la selvagemente" apenas quando você tem certeza que uma tendência de alta/baixa vai continuar.

Pares com JPY são bons para a negociação automatizada, pois o Japão está enfrentando uma inflação padrão na sua moeda (ainda não garante o sucesso).

A estratégia tem versões para MetaTrader 4 e para MetaTrader 5.

Versões 1.25 suportam adicionalmente:

  • Uma variável bool com possibilidade de ajustar automaticamente o tamanho do lote e gestão do dinheiro, se o tamanho do easy_lot é pequeno demais para determinada conta (por exemplo, as contas não micro).
  • Adicionado opção script de espera por determinado preço inicial. Ajuda nas entradas, faz testes e contagem de rebaixamento um pouco mais fácil.
  • Trailing stop em percentagem do lucro máximo (definido como 75%, fecha posição se 75% do lucro máximo).
  • Também permite definir um tamanho mínimo para usar trailing stop (pequeno trailing stop não é tão benéfico quanto um maior).
