NeckLine Sentinel is a professional-grade pattern recognition engine built for traders who rely on classic chart formations but are tired of manually scanning charts for hours. Instead of watching one timeframe at a time, NeckLine Sentinel simultaneously monitors M15, M30, H1, H4, and D1 for both Head & Shoulders (bearish reversal) and Inverse Head & Shoulders (bullish reversal) patterns — and does it with a scoring system that filters out the weak, low-probability setups that waste your time.
How the detection engine works
Most "pattern scanners" on the market simply connect three swing points and call it a pattern. NeckLine Sentinel goes further. Every candidate formation is passed through a multi-factor confidence model that evaluates:
- Shoulder symmetry — how closely the left and right shoulder heights match, penalizing lopsided formations that rarely play out as textbook reversals
- Neckline slope — excessively steep or unstable necklines are downgraded, since a valid neckline should offer a clean, tradable breakout level
- Head prominence — the head must be meaningfully deeper/higher than both shoulders, filtering out noise that only superficially resembles the pattern
- Neckline break confirmation — patterns that have already produced a confirmed close beyond the neckline score higher than formations still "in progress," giving you a read on how mature the setup is
- Volume behavior — where tick volume data is available, the engine checks for the classic volume decline into the right shoulder that technical analysts have relied on for decades
Each detected pattern is assigned a confidence score from 0–100%, so you're not just told "a pattern exists" — you're told how strong it is. You set your own minimum confidence threshold, meaning you only see the formations worth your attention.
What gets drawn on your chart
When a qualifying pattern is found, NeckLine Sentinel automatically plots:
- Labeled left shoulder, head, and right shoulder points
- The connecting structure lines between all three swing points
- A projected, ray-extended neckline drawn at the correct slope
- A measured-move target line, calculated from the pattern's height projected off the neckline break — giving you an objective profit-target reference instead of guesswork
- An on-chart tag showing the timeframe, pattern direction, confidence percentage, and calculated target price

NeckLine Sentinel runs a continuous background rescan (interval configurable) across all enabled timeframes, and the moment a new qualifying pattern is confirmed, it fires:
