Smart Horizon | Mean Reversion Grid (Free Version)

The market moves in cycles. While most strategies attempt to catch impulses and get stopped out during news events, the mathematical edge often lies in the zones where price reverts to its mean.

Smart Horizon is a free Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4, optimized for the M15 timeframe. It is designed for pairs with ranging characteristics (AUDCAD, EURUSD). The algorithm combines RSI and Stochastic oscillators with a strict H4, H1, m15 trend filter, opening trades only when there is a confirmed deviation from the average value.

Strategy Mechanics

Unlike many free alternatives that hide dangerous averaging methods, Smart Horizon operates on transparent logic:

Dual-Filter Entry: A signal is generated only when RSI and Stochastic cross overbought/oversold levels simultaneously, confirmed by the price position relative to the EMA 200 on the higher timeframe. This filters out up to 90% of market noise.
Volatility Filter (ADX): The robot analyzes the Directional Movement Index. If ADX indicates a strong trend ("one-way madness"), new entries are paused to prevent trading against momentum.
Adaptive Lot Sizing: The system supports fixed lots or an automatic mode calculated as a percentage of Equity. Risk scales automatically with your account balance.

Capital Protection Protocols

The tool is equipped with built-in institutional-grade risk management features:

Hard Drawdown Circuit Breaker: The InpMaxDrawdown parameter (default 20%). Upon reaching the set floating loss limit, the EA closes all positions and executes ExpertRemove() to stop operation.
Unified Basket Take Profit: Each new grid trade dynamically pulls the common Take Profit level closer to the current price, ensuring basket closure without requiring deep corrections.
Margin Control: Pre-check of free margin before each order prevents Error #134 (Not Enough Money).

Technical Note: The code is written in pure MQL4 without external libraries (DLL), ensuring compatibility with any broker and account type (Netting/Hedging).

благодарю автора за его вклад в наше общее развитие .если смотреть по истории советник получился добротный.может быть даже через чур осторожный для усреднителя. особенно если риск поставить 99% .я имею в виду что бы советник не закрывал убыточные серии при 20% просадке которые потом всё равно вышли бы в плюс.

Доброго времени суток. Спасибо за отзыв. В настройках можно минимальный лот поставить 0 и будет автоматический расчёт лота по балансу. Риск повысится и вроде должен профит вырасти. По поводу риска, я пробовал тут надо резиновый депозит тогда. Если интересно то на RSI + Stoch на XAU/USD на флете можно им тоже поиграть настройками с лотом 0.01 очень даже ничего картина.
