Heat map Volume
- Indicadores
- Versão: 1.10
Features
- Standard-deviation volume engine: calculates stdbar = (Current Volume - SMA of Volume) / Standard Deviation, so volume is graded against its own recent norm.
- Five threshold levels: Extra High, High, Medium, Normal and Low, each with its own color, so unusual activity is obvious.
- Threshold lines: four horizontal lines in the window mark the levels; a bar crossing a line has reached that level.
- Tunable sensitivity: shorter lengths react faster for scalping, longer lengths only flag truly abnormal volume for swing trading.
- Works on any symbol and timeframe.
Inputs
- MA / StdDev Length: averaging length for the baseline (default 610).
- Extra High Multiplier: default 4.0 sigma.
- High Multiplier: default 2.5 sigma.
- Medium Multiplier: default 1.0 sigma.
- Normal Multiplier: default -0.5 sigma.
- Color set for each level.
Outputs
- Volume histogram colored by intensity level.
- Four threshold lines marking Extra High, High, Medium and Normal.
Alerts
Optional alerts can be sent as a screen popup, sound, push notification and email when volume reaches a chosen threshold.
Limitations
High volume tells you something unusual is happening, not the direction, so always read it with price action. Spikes during major news (NFP, FOMC, CPI) are expected and not necessarily tradable. On Forex, MT5 uses tick volume, which approximates real traded volume.
Suggested lengths: 50-100 for scalping (M1-M15), 200-400 for day trading (M15-H1), 500-610+ for swing trading (H4-D1).
