Gold Grand Master is a fully automated breakout system for Gold (XAUUSD) on the H1 timeframe. It is the next-generation, subscription version of the free XauBtc Bot (1,500+ downloads on this Market): the same proven entry signal, rebuilt with a data-driven exit engine and a full risk-protection stack.
No grid. No martingale. No averaging. No hidden recovery tricks. One position at a time, always with a hard Stop Loss and Take Profit on the server.
HOW IT TRADES
The EA waits for a two-bar bearish pullback confirmed by a falling volume-weighted average price, then places a single Buy Stop above the recent 30-bar high. The breakout only fills when momentum returns in the direction of the prevailing trend. Initial Stop Loss is volatility-based (ATR), Take Profit is 2x the risk. Frequency is selective: quality over quantity.
THE v3.2 EXIT ENGINE (what you are paying for)
Instead of guessing trailing-stop distances, we reconstructed 412 real trade trajectories minute by minute (2023-2026) and measured where winners peak and where losers reverse. The findings drove the design:
- R-normalized trailing: the trail arms only after the trade is +0.50R in profit and then protects 85% of the maximum favorable excursion. Distances scale with current volatility, not fixed points.
- Two-stage management: an early stop-tighten after the first hour reduces exposure before momentum develops; the R-trail takes over once the trade is working.
- Stable plateau, not a lucky peak: a whole 3x3 parameter region around the default beats the previous fixed-point trailing in both profit factor AND drawdown.
PROTECTION STACK
- Equity Guard pauses new entries after abnormal drawdown, with an anti-freeze rebase (the free version can stay paused indefinitely after a deep drawdown episode; this version recovers automatically).
- Daily Drawdown Guard (default 5%) stops opening new trades for the rest of the day. Designed with prop-firm daily limits in mind.
- Own-P&L isolation: guards measure THIS EA's own P&L only (by magic number), so losses from other EAs on the same account will not pause it.
- Spread Guard skips entries when the spread is abnormally wide.
- Optional high-impact news filter (live trading only).
- Automatic broker filling-mode detection with fallback: no "Unsupported filling mode" surprises.
BACKTESTS (MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, XAUUSD H1, 10,000 USD, default settings)
- 2023 (every tick): +11,017 USD, Profit Factor 2.65, max equity drawdown 6.2%
- 2024 (every tick): +8,843 USD, Profit Factor 1.84, max equity drawdown 7.8%
- Jan 2025 - Jul 2026 (every tick): +13,490 USD, Profit Factor 2.23, max equity drawdown 8.1%
- Jan 2025 - Jul 2026 (real ticks, 100% quality): +6,738 USD, Profit Factor 1.67, max equity drawdown 17.7%
We publish the real-tick run on purpose: it is harsher than modelled ticks and closer to live conditions. Screenshots show every report. These are backtests, not live results. Past performance does not guarantee future returns.
SETUP
- Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold). Timeframe: H1 only (the EA stays idle on other timeframes).
- Any broker / any account type (netting or hedging). Low-spread accounts recommended.
- Minimum deposit: 1,000 USD recommended for percent-risk mode; ~500 USD with fixed 0.01 lots.
- VPS strongly recommended for 24/5 operation.
- For the optional news filter, allow WebRequest for https://nfs.faireconomy.media in Tools > Options > Expert Advisors.
INPUTS
- Risk %: equity risked per trade (default 2.2; use 1.0-1.5 for a conservative / prop-firm profile)
- Lot Mode / Fixed Lot: switch to fixed lot sizing
- ATR SL Mult: initial Stop Loss as a multiple of ATR(200) (default 0.7)
- TP Ratio: Take Profit as a multiple of the Stop Loss distance (default 2.0)
- Tighten Pips: early stop-tighten distance after the first hour
- Daily Guard %: max daily drawdown before pausing for the day (default 5)
- Spread Guard: max spread in points to allow a new entry
- Trail Mode: 0=off, 1=fixed points (legacy), 2=R-normalized (default, recommended), 3=R-multiple
- Trail Arm R / Keep Fraction / Min Distance: R-trailing tuning (defaults are the data-driven optimum)
- News filter: on/off, currencies, minutes before/after
