I wasn't created to anticipate reversals or risk half your deposit for a few pips. My philosophy is strict discipline, safety, and trading only when there's real market movement.
How do I think and trade? I sit quietly in ambush and wait for the price to break through an important price channel (highs or lows for a given period). But I don't jump into a trade at every little fluke! First, I look at tick volume—if the momentum is confirmed by strong activity, I'm in. No volume—no trade.
Why I'm safe and comfortable
No toxicity: I don't use grids or averaging on principle. We only have one active trade per instrument, and it always has a tight, impenetrable stop loss.
Math: You don't have to rack your brains over lot calculations. Just tell me, "Risk 1% of your balance," and I'll calculate the entry volume, taking into account the distance to the stop. And yes, I always check my free margin—there's no risk of overloading our account.
Your personal profit guard: As soon as a trade turns into a solid profit, I quickly move it to breakeven. You can sleep soundly. And if we've caught a strong, steady trend, I activate a smart trailing stop and follow the price, squeezing the maximum out of the movement.
I stick to a daily routine: I have a built-in time filter. Set my working hours, and I won't enter the market during, for example, a slow Asian session. We only work when it's profitable.
What do I need to do a good job? I love volatility and trends. I've optimized the XAUUSD instrument with an H1 timeframe for the high volatility of gold in recent years. Just give me an account with tight spreads (ECN/Raw), set your desired risk, and go about your business.
