Overview
SMC Pro v1.00 is an algorithmic Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, specifically designed to trade the XAU/USD pair (spot gold) on the 5-minute timeframe (M5). Its signal engine is built entirely on the principles of Smart Money Concepts (SMC), the institutional methodology that studies real price behavior through market structures, breakouts, and shifts.

SMC Engine — Entry Signals
The Expert Advisor (EA) operates with a cascading signal priority system, executing only the highest-ranking active signal:
1. BOS — Break of Structure (highest priority) Detects breakouts in the direction of the major trend by comparing the highs and lows of the last 60 candlesticks. It only trades in the direction of the dominant bias, with confirmation of a close above/below the level with a minimum of 4 pips of penetration.
2. MSB — Market Structure Break (second priority) Identifies decisive breakouts of the reference swings of the last 40 candlesticks, requiring a confirmed close with at least 5 pips of movement beyond the structural level. A highly reliable signal for entries on structure reversals.
3. ChoCH — Change of Character (third priority) Detects the first intraday change in character, identifying when the price reverses a minimum swing of 6 pips against the short-term trend, signaling a potential change in direction before it becomes obvious.
4. Displacement + Structure Shift (fourth priority) Detects institutional displacement candles: a minimum body of 8 pips and a minimum range of 12 pips that exceed the swing high/low of the last 30 candles. It marks the beginning of a move with institutional capital participation.
Risk Management and Execution
The EA uses pending orders (Buy Stop/Sell Stop) with a configurable offset of 3 pips from the current price, avoiding market entries during periods of high volatility. The key parameters for a $1,000 USD account are:
