Clearview has mentioned that the home PC is working fine, so I would agree that it looks like that the VPS provider has the problem. Also, while the info about the problem is quite scarce, I mean the issue likely exists for about a month, but what about before? I am saying so because I asked ..Copilot about the AWS outage where clearly states that since the problem was about DNS resolving, cloud providers should go on and flush DNS caches and so on - the resolution should be applied by both parties, not only Amazon.. Also, it could be that the outage went on gradually, maybe for days, and this could be what Clearview witnessed

What's causing MT5 to drop around 200 times every 24 hours?
Clearview, 2025.10.30 19:30
No issue on demo accounts. Only have one live MT5 account so nothing to compare to. Tried to open a new live account somewhere else, but they apparently didn't want the hassle because the account rep never got back to me.
No issue when using the platform on my home computer, only on vps.
For the time being, I am not inclined to say AMP or Metatrade is the culprit, but rather the VPS provider(s), while ATM I believe your best bet would be to use the home PC.. Having said that, I am also inclined to go find a VPS and try out my self :)

This is multiple VPS companies, not just one. When the first one stopped working, I spent $290 and got another dedicated VPS server. Same result on 4 servers that I have personally tested.
One of the server companies contacted other server companies and they all said they have the same complaint.
If this is a VPS issue then the issue is being caused by AMP.
Please try it out using a LIVE AMP Futures (not global) MT5 account on vps in Chicago and let me know what you find.
AMP has been zero help. They just pass you from chat to their support email and support email passes you back to chat. The email I was given for actual technical support has not responded.
Many of use have suggested that the op to try different vps.
why is this thread still going? why are you still arguing over it?
there are 3 users that describe the same issue as the op that has been going on with this broker, albeit intermittently for years, not weeks or months; and the broker has now almost admitted culpability.
get a new broker and be done with them. even the worlds biggest brokers can be unreliable. If you like them so much, then, try them again in a year or 2, maybe if they lose enuf clients, they will fix their infrastructure before then.
EDIT: i have not received any pm from anyone in this thread apart from ryan and the mods months/years ago.Michael, please read the thread before responding. OP has already stated numerous times and even in a pm to you that different vps companies have been tried.
Were any of the tried Chicago VPS's an official mql5.com VPS? (Just thinking in terms of compatibility).
[G]et a new broker and be done with them.
Unfortunately, the selection of licensed MT5 CME Futures brokers in the States is merely 2.
Based on previous posts in this thread, the other broker has already ghosted the OP's new account application so...

I hear what you guys are saying about using a home computer, but it won't work long term and is why I started moving everything to a dedicated server in Chicago for trading futures:
1- Live in the middle of nowhere, not close to any large cities
2- Trade for prop firms who will disqualify you if you change your normal computer ip address while traveling (I cannot see enough chart information to trade on a phone or single monitor)
3- Use a trade copier that needs to be as fast as possible and up all the time because I use ghost take profits to scale out (they're not on the broker's server)
4- Receive trade signals from my indicators and these signals need to be uninterrupted

I spoke to the retirement trust company that this account has to go through today and, apparently, this other broker has a very slow set up process. So this is still being worked on. I am also exploring moving 18 years of MT4/5 trading over to a different platform. This will be expensive.
