What's causing MT5 to drop around 200 times every 24 hours? - page 10

For now we don't really have a confirmed clue about "the culprit", but AMP is the most probably, not the VPS providers.

One way to have more information is to use an other broker on the same VPS, preferably with a real account. Then we will know.

Yes, sir, am working on this, but people in the US either don't seem to want to do their jobs or they have too much work to do, they're very slow.

why is this thread still going? why are you still arguing over it?

there are 3 users that describe the same issue as the op that has been going on with this broker, albeit intermittently for years, not weeks or months; and the broker has now almost admitted culpability.

get a new broker and be done with them. even the worlds biggest brokers can be unreliable. If you like them so much, then, try them again in a year or 2, maybe if they lose enuf clients, they will fix their infrastructure before then.

EDIT: i have not received any pm from anyone in this thread apart from ryan and the mods months/years ago.

My apologies, you're right, I went back and looked.  I decided to not pm you back, but to put the answers to your questions in the thread back on October 21.

Were any of the tried Chicago VPS's an official mql5.com VPS? (Just thinking in terms of compatibility).

I am not aware of an official mql5.com vps list.  Would be happy to look at it and let you know if they're on there and would be happy to test others in Chicago with very low latency.

I am still on here "arguing" about it because MQL5 told me they are not able to contact AMP.  Only AMP can contact them because AMP is the customer of MQ.

The only thing I know to do since AMP refuses to deal with this and no one above the front line "support" people has contacted me is to air their dirty laundry in public based

on being told by more than one MQL5 person to push/pressure AMP to respond.

So, I'm doing what I was told to do in the only way I know how to  do it.

Unfortunately, the selection of licensed MT5 CME Futures brokers in the States is merely 2.

Based on previous posts in this thread, the other broker has already ghosted the OP's new account application so...

Yes, a huge lack of availability and thus the lack of competition to push companies to be better at what they do.

does amp provide its own vps for clients? maybe you could try that vps. If it has same issue then, i am sure that the broker will take more notice. surely.

That is a good idea.  I will check.

Edit:  just checked and it is the same one that is direct from MT5.  The way I understand it is the one directly from MT5 only allows fully automated trading.

My trading is manual and limit orders where I put in the stop loss price and click the button - I've been told a human must click the button for US futures prop firms and many virtual trading prop firms.  Then my automated entry risk manager and trade manager take over.

They call it "co-location" I believe.

maybe an admin @Alain Verleyen can advise creating a thread on the russian forum pages about this same issue too?

It's the vps that MT5 offers and is directly connected inside the platform.  Cannot use it unless you have a fully automated trading system.
