Seeing how you want those VPS for manual trading, I presume you can live with lower latency, I mean what your home computer may offer.. So, some options could be to have your home PC powered all day, plus a VPN subscription for secure access from outside your home (I would not advice to use Windows built-in remote desktop but it could also be possible); if you find that your home PC is too powerful for that matter, then there are some very low priced mini PCs which could do that just fine for you (I mean, a Intel N100/N97 mini PC has idle power consumption of about 8-10 watts, plus can also be your main computer for browsing or similar)

I need low latency due to trade copying to other accounts on the same server and for my risk manager/trade manager that takes over after I manually enter the trades.
 
Thanks for the information, someone from MQ is trying to check what they could do. However they insist that without the server logs (so the ones on AMP side), it will probably be hard to diagnose the problem.
 
I'm curious is any of this has to do with AMP changing their data packages a couple of months ago.  Maybe they accidently tweaked something on the vps communication side and don't have things worked out.  I don't know.  All I can do is come up with theories.

On your home computer, is it the same server(s) which are used ? ("Server NEW" or "Server Failover NEW").

"we do not in anyway control VPS servers
you will have to make sure your VPS has allowances for MT5 please check with MQL5 about VPS  AMP only turns on data"

Any idea what those allowance might be?

Hehe, "houston we have a problem" I may say :) Well, as for the symbols, I do not remember how many symbols are opened by default when opening AMP's MetaTrader for the first time, but if I am not mistaken there were many? Anyway, as I said in my earlier posts, I do have some 3 symbols opened, so maybe you can give the matter a go as well

The number of symbols mentioned in the logs is not the number of selected symbols in the market watch (probably this is what you mean by "opened" symbols, apparently this is not related to a number of opened charts), but a total amount of symbols available for the platform - their specs or quotes or ticks are not affecting connection, if you imply this. So it's hardly a problem.
 
AMP is infuriating.  If they don't like the conversation, they deny everything and then tell you to contact them at their support email address.  Then, when you contact them at the requested email address, that person denies anything resembling helping you and tells you to contact them at their support email address.  I have this documented several times now.  A circle of uselessness.  And, they throw in the occasional go to MQL5, who, in turn says contact the broker.

It seems to me that the exact same thing happens whether I leave the platform alone or if click on Server New or if I click on Failover Server.
How exactly do you enter into VPS and leave it? Make sure you do not close user session when you leave.
