Daddy lit up the sun

Good morning

There's a constant commercial for Gasprom or a bank on Russia's central TV channels, and the commercial ends with a little boy looking at the sunrise and exclaiming "Daddy has lit up the sun".

I mean, if you see a sunrise, you know it's his daddy (some daddy) lighting it for you.

Did you think that if you have money and power ... and that's it? No movement? There is. The next step is to light the sun for all of us.

I thought everyone was watching TV commercials...

And behind the daddy there's usually a commercial for some cosmetics, and the lady sings without any words... like this one - "ti, ti, ti, ti, ti, ti, ti, ti, ti, ti..."

The authorities of Smolensk Region have asked the United Russia faction in the regional Duma to assist in writing off the region's debt to the federal budget, the Kommersant newspaper reported. According to Vice-Governor Igor Skobelev, the amount of debt, exceeds 21 billion rubles, which amounts to 60% of the annual revenues of the region. It is planned to spend RUB 850m on debt servicing in 2014.

"The state is writing off debts to the poorest African countries, but not to its own regions, it is demanding to pay back. I believe it is wrong. The more so because the national debt is currently a problem not only for Smolensk region, but for a whole number of regions," Skobelev said.
