Frequently Asked Questions about the Signals service - page 125

I've just subscribed a signal, use VPS, set terminal > deviation/slippage = 0.5 spreads. But mql5 still copy orders with slippage 15 pips!

Provider uses  MTrading-Live  broker, im using ICMarket, he sell AUDUSD.rann at 0.72830, but i got order sell AUDUSD at 0.72681. When he closes trade at 0.72766, he got profit, I got loss.

What happen? Is MQL5 copy system trustworthy?

This is log of VPS:

The 0.5 deviation/slippage setting mean that the trade won't be copied if the slippage is larger at the time its opened, but its copied later at a different price upon synchronization.

That's why I always suggest to put that setting to 5.0 max if you are using a good broker/server setup with acceptable slippage (within the green or yellow range in the Slippage tab).

Thank for your reply,

I added the log of VPS that show copy system copied right away in 0.2s , not at later synchronization.

This is huge slippage and you shouldn't copy.

Acceptable slippage for me is up to 10-15 points.

Yeah, 15 pips slippage is not acceptable, but another orders have better slippage at 5-10 points. So i want to ask why deviance / slippage prevent system of mql5 not works as designed. Is that bug of copy signal system? If it only copy acceptable slippage orders, it would be perfect.

As it seems its not working as perfectly as it should, that's why the best course of action is to use a good broker/server setup for copying a signal.

Well, it seems i have to pay for something that can not guarantee running properly, and i have to accept it as it is. Provider doesnt fix it, and i still have to pay for it as nothing happen :( . It's not a fair deal i think.

Thank you anyway for your help Eleni :)

Generally choosing a good broker/server setup will help you overcome most of the signal copying issues, but in your case the problem seems to arise from the provider's server, 15 pips slippage in a trade that it was copied in 0.2 seconds and in a very popular pair (AUDUSD) is crazy.

Can I ask MQL5 to fix this problem? It's an error / bug from copy system of MQL5, not provider's server. I paid MQL5 to copy signals with slippage under variable that i set, not any signal with any slippage!

This cannot be fixed, but you should know that copying providers that use well known brokers, reduce dramatically this problem.
