This guide covers APEX Signal Copier 1.00 and its Windows connector. The connector reads supported text instructions from selected Telegram channels and passes recognized events to the separately installed MetaTrader 5 EA.
Before you begin
- A Windows computer or Windows VPS with MetaTrader 5 installed. Keep both MT5 and the connector running on the same computer. Native MetaTrader virtual hosting cannot run the connector.
- Your Market-installed APEX Signal Copier EA and the matching 1.00 connector.
- Your Telegram account, channel access and permission to process the content for your intended use. No channel administrator needs to add a bot.
- Access to your Telegram login code and two-step verification password, if enabled. The connector includes the publisher's application registration; you do not need an API ID, API hash or developer account.
Download the connector
Download APEX-Signal-Connector-1.00-compact.zip from the attachments at the bottom of this post.
This connector-only ZIP includes the Windows app and instructions. No separate Python or 7-Zip installation is needed. Install the paid EA separately through MetaTrader Market.
Install and connect
1. Extract the entire ZIP to a permanent folder on your Windows computer. Open the extracted folder and run APEX Signal Connector.exe. Keep the accompanying files together.
2. Enter your Telegram phone number with country code. Enter the login code sent by Telegram, then your two-step verification password if enabled. Enter these values locally in the connector. Never send login codes or passwords to the seller or another customer.
3. Select the channels you want to copy. Keep listening paused while checking recognition and configuring the EA.
Optional: choose View channel to open a read-only preview in your existing browser. Keep the connector running. Telegram's official sponsored messages may appear after the latest posts; they never become signals or AI inputs. You can open sponsor information or report an ad. External websites require confirmation. Channel destinations open in the preview; bot conversations open in your registered Telegram application. The preview does not start copying or place an order.
Set up recognition
4. Common signal formats already have built-in rules. Open Global recognition to adjust shared defaults. Open Channel recognition for one channel to inherit those defaults or use its own rules. Paste a representative sample in Live Preview and review the detected action, instrument, entry and price levels.
5. For an unfamiliar instruction or label, enter the phrase in Custom Rules, choose its meaning and add it. Alternatively, select the phrase in your sample and use Create a rule from selected text. Prices in later supported messages can vary. These are literal rules; the copier does not infer arbitrary discussions. Add ignore phrases for recurring recaps when needed.
6. Save when ready. Saving pauses listening; resume it explicitly after finishing setup. Use Signal tester to check an entry and its follow-up instructions, one message at a time. These samples stay in an isolated test conversation and never send an order to MT5.
7. Optional: open the channel's rules and options, then Missing levels. Missing SL/TP is allowed by default and numeric fallbacks are off. Set a fallback SL or TP in broker points, or a TP reward/risk multiple when there is a stop. A broker point is not necessarily a pip. Without an SL, the EA uses its fixed-lot setting; the percentage-risk setting does not bound that trade's loss.
Connect MetaTrader 5
8. Install APEX Signal Copier through Market in your intended MT5 terminal. Attach one EA instance to one chart in the intended account. Review symbol mapping, size/risk settings, spread, signal age and entry-deviation limits. Begin in Preview, which does not submit orders.
9. Start with a demo account. Resume connector listening and check the connection status on the EA panel. Test representative signals in Preview. When ready for a demo execution test, enable Algo Trading and select Start copying on the EA. Review actual positions, pending orders and the journal before considering a live account.
10. Keep both applications running. One connector serves one receiving account. Existing positions or pending orders on a symbol block a new entry on that symbol. Management instructions need a uniquely matched copied trade. Use only one receiving EA instance for the connector.
Mobile notifications
11. In MT5, open Tools > Options > Notifications. Enable push notifications and enter the MetaQuotes ID from your mobile MT5 app. Use Test MT5 notification on the EA panel. Delivery depends on the desktop terminal, mobile permissions and MT5 rate limits. A successful notification test does not verify broker execution.
Troubleshooting
Not recognized: check literal phrases, instrument aliases, detected fields and the supported numeric format. The copier does not infer arbitrary discussions or read images and voice messages. Protected and forwarded messages are skipped.
No new entry: check Preview/Copying mode, listening, connection status, signal age, spread, broker constraints and same-symbol exposure. Read the EA status and journal. If execution status is uncertain, inspect the account before retrying; do not repeatedly resend the signal.
No close or update: the instruction must resolve to an eligible copied trade. Test the entry and follow-up sequence in Signal tester, including the optional reply number when relevant.
No push notification: check the desktop terminal's notification settings, MetaQuotes ID and mobile permissions. Confirm that both the terminal and connection remain running.
Privacy and support
The connector uses your Telegram session and communicates with Telegram. Recognition is local, without an AI service or AI key. Session data is protected using Windows-user encryption. Revoke the saved session in the connector or through Telegram Devices when needed. This is an independent application using the Telegram API, not an official Telegram product.
The EA is purchased through Market; there is no separate connector fee. Official sponsored content is supplied by Telegram. Views are reported only when the entire ad text is visible in the active preview; clicks and reports follow your actions.
For support, use the product's MQL5 comments or MQL5 messaging. Include the version, relevant status message and a non-sensitive sample if needed. Never send API secrets, login codes, session files or trading-account passwords. Trading involves risk; begin on demo.
