IMPORTANT RISK WARNING
AI Vega Bot is an automated trading tool. It does not guarantee profits. Trading Forex, Gold, indices, and other leveraged products involves significant risk and may result in the partial or complete loss of your trading capital.
Always test the Expert Advisor on a Demo account before using it on a live account. Use a trading volume and risk level that you can afford to lose. Historical and backtest results do not guarantee future performance.
1. PRODUCT OVERVIEW
AI Vega Bot is an automated trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It can manage trade entries, trading volume, Stop Loss, Take Profit, Trailing Stop, trading hours, trend confirmation, AI-assisted filters, and economic news protection according to the selected settings.
The product provides two settings modes:
VEGA_CUSTOM_SETTINGS
The bot uses the settings entered by the user. In this mode, it trades the symbol of the chart to which it is attached.
VEGA_PRESET_SETTINGS
The bot uses settings prepared by the developer and automatically identifies supported symbols. Most Custom inputs are managed automatically while Preset mode is active.
2. REQUIREMENTS BEFORE INSTALLATION
Before installing the bot, make sure that:
- MetaTrader 5 is installed and connected to a trading account.
- The required trading symbols are available in Market Watch.
- The Algo Trading button in MT5 is enabled.
- Automated trading is allowed under Tools > Options > Expert Advisors.
- The trading account has sufficient free margin.
- The broker allows automated trading and Expert Advisors.
- The trading terminal or VPS remains online while the bot is expected to operate.
- MetaTrader 5 Economic Calendar data is available if the News Filter will be used.
The current features of the bot do not require WebRequest access.
3. INSTALLATION
3.1 Installing from MQL5 Market
- Open MetaTrader 5.
- Log in with the MQL5 account used to purchase the product.
- Open Market or Navigator > Market > My Purchases.
- Find AI Vega Bot and select Install.
- Open Navigator > Expert Advisors and confirm that AI Vega Bot is listed.
- If it is not visible, right-click inside Navigator and select Refresh, or restart MT5.
3.2 Attaching the bot to a chart
- Open the chart on which you want to use the bot.
- Drag AI Vega Bot from Navigator onto the chart.
- In the Common tab, enable Allow Algo Trading.
- Open the Inputs tab.
- Select VEGA_CUSTOM_SETTINGS or VEGA_PRESET_SETTINGS.
- Review the volume, risk, time, Stop Loss, Take Profit, Trailing Stop, and News Filter settings.
- Select OK.
- Confirm that Algo Trading is active and that no initialization error appears in the Experts or Journal tab.
When Custom mode is selected, the bot trades the current chart symbol. When Preset mode is selected, make sure all required supported symbols are available in Market Watch.
4. UNDERSTANDING POINTS
Inputs containing the word “Points” represent a price distance. They do not represent money and may not be identical to the term “pip” used by some brokers.
The actual price distance depends on the symbol quotation format and the broker’s number of digits. Gold, Forex pairs, and indices may use different contract specifications.
Before using a live account, check the following on Demo:
- Entry price distance
- Stop Loss distance
- Take Profit distance
- Trailing Stop distance
- Minimum Stop Level required by the broker
Example:
If the price unit used for the symbol is 0.01, a setting of 300 Points represents a price distance of approximately 3.00.
Do not copy the same Point settings to another broker or another symbol without checking the resulting price distance first.
5. COMPLETE INPUT SETTINGS GUIDE
The names shown below follow the descriptions visible to customers in the MT5 Inputs window.
5.1 DEVELOPER CONTACT & ANTI-SCAM NOTICE
This section contains official contact information and anti-scam warnings only. It does not control trading.
Official Telegram: @losgroup23
Official Channel: https://t.me/diamondforextrading
Do not purchase cracked products or send money to accounts that are not listed in the official contact information.
5.2 PRESET OR CUSTOM
Use custom inputs or built-in preset
Default: VEGA_CUSTOM_SETTINGS
Select VEGA_CUSTOM_SETTINGS when you want to configure the bot manually. Select VEGA_PRESET_SETTINGS when you want to use settings prepared by the developer.
While Preset mode is active, most Custom inputs remain visible but are managed automatically by the Preset. Do not assume that changing a visible Custom value will override the Preset.
Preset Gold symbol aliases
Default: XAUUSD,GOLD,XAU
This is the list used to identify the broker’s Gold symbol. Separate symbol names with commas. If the broker uses a suffix or a different symbol name, add the exact name to this list.
Examples:
XAUUSD,XAUUSDm,GOLD,GOLD.pro
Preset Nasdaq/USTEC symbol aliases
Default: USTEC,NAS100,US100,TECH100
This is the list used to identify the broker’s Nasdaq or USTEC symbol. Add the exact broker symbol when necessary and separate names with commas.
Important Preset notes:
- Make all required supported symbols visible in Market Watch.
- If a required symbol cannot be found, Preset initialization may fail.
- Preset manages its operational settings automatically.
- News Filter and other general options shown separately should still be reviewed by the user.
- Test Preset mode on a Demo account before using it on a live account.
5.3 COMMON SETTINGS
Trade comment
Default: Vega_Bot
The text displayed in the comment field of trades created by the bot. It helps identify orders and positions belonging to AI Vega Bot.
Unique Magic Number
Default: 20251111
A unique identification number used by the bot to recognize and manage its own orders and positions.
Use a different Magic Number for every separate Custom instance. Do not change the Magic Number while the bot still has open positions or pending orders, because the new instance may no longer manage trades carrying the previous Magic Number.
5.4 TIME FILTER GMT + 0
All settings in this group use GMT+0, also known as UTC. They do not use the computer’s local time or the broker server time.
Time EA Start (Hour)
Default: 0
The hour from which the bot is allowed to look for new trading opportunities. The normal range is 0 to 23.
Time EA Start (Minute)
Default: 3
The starting minute. The normal range is 0 to 59.
Time EA Stop (Hour)
Default: 21
The hour after which the bot should stop opening new trades.
Time EA Stop (Minute)
Default: 59
The ending minute. The normal range is 0 to 59.
Time Friday EA Stop (Hour)
Default: 16
The GMT+0 hour used for the Friday closing and stopping condition.
Time Friday EA Stop (Minute)
Default: 55
The GMT+0 minute used for the Friday closing and stopping condition.
Convert your preferred trading hours to GMT+0 before entering them. Broker server time may change because of daylight-saving time, while the settings in this section remain based on GMT+0.
Time Filter note (unchanged in 2.0):
Test the exact start time, end time, and Friday closing time on a Demo account. Pay particular attention to the start and end minutes. Do not use the settings on a live account until the actual operating time has been confirmed.
5.5 AI MODULE FILTER
This is an additional filter for entry confirmation. The user only needs to choose whether it is enabled and select an appropriate filtering level.
Use AI Model Check Entry
Default: false
false: The AI entry filter is disabled.
true: The AI filter can approve or reject a pending entry and may adjust the entry distance.
New users should keep this setting false during the first test. Enable it only after confirming that the standard settings operate correctly.
Minimum score to place pending
Default: 3.4
The minimum confirmation level required before a pending order can be placed. A higher value normally applies stricter filtering and may reduce the number of trades. Keep the default value unless another value has been tested carefully.
Cancel pending below this score
Default: 2.5
The minimum level required to continue keeping a pending order. If the condition falls below this level, the bot may cancel the pending order.
This value should normally remain lower than Minimum score to place pending.
Timezone offset vs server (London = 0)
Default: 0
The time offset used by the AI filter. Keep the value at 0 when using the standard configuration. Change it only after verifying the operating time on a Demo account.
5.6 MONEY MANAGEMENT
Position sizing method (Fixed Lot, Risk %, or Fixed Money)
Default: FIXED_VOL
Selects how the bot calculates trading volume.
FIXED_VOL
Uses a fixed lot size for each trade.
FIXED_RISK
Calculates the trading volume from the selected percentage of account balance and the Stop Loss distance. A wider Stop Loss normally produces a smaller lot, while a smaller Stop Loss may produce a larger lot.
FIXED_MARGIN
Uses the fixed-money method provided by the product. The fixed-money amount is not available as an editable Input in the current version.
Fixed lot size when using FIXED_VOL mode
Default: 0.01
The fixed lot size used only when Position sizing method is set to FIXED_VOL.
Risk percentage per trade when using FIXED_RISK mode
Default: 2
The percentage of account balance used for position-size calculation when FIXED_RISK is selected.
This value does not guarantee an exact final loss. Spread, commission, slippage, gaps, broker execution, and minimum lot restrictions can change the actual result.
Enable automatic lot scaling based on account balance
Default: true
Allows the bot to adjust trading volume automatically. Set this to false when you want simpler and more predictable volume control.
Recommended starting configuration for new users:
- Position sizing method: FIXED_VOL
- Fixed lot size: 0.01
- Automatic lot scaling: false
- Account type: Demo
5.7 ENTRY SETTINGS
Entry buffer distance from swing high/low in points
Default: 50
Adds an extra distance to the entry level. Increasing the value places the entry farther from the reference area. Decreasing the value places it closer.
Do not use a negative value in Custom mode unless the developer has supplied a suitable Settings file and it has been tested on Demo.
Maximum number of trades allowed per trend cycle
Default: 10
Limits how many trades the bot may take during the current trading cycle. Lower values provide stricter trade-frequency control.
Trading Strategy
Default: BOTH
Available choices are TYPE_1, TYPE_2, and BOTH.
TYPE_1: Uses the first available product mode.
TYPE_2: Uses the second available product mode.
BOTH: Allows the bot to use both available modes.
If you are unsure, keep BOTH or use the value supplied by the developer’s Settings file.
Higher timeframe trend confirmation filter
Default: SUPER_TREND
Selects the trend-confirmation method used by the bot.
Available choices:
- RSI_TREND
- MA_TREND
- SUPER_TREND
Only the settings belonging to the selected filter should be adjusted for trend confirmation.
Minimum distance between consecutive orders in points
Default: 200
The minimum permitted distance between relevant orders. Increase this value to prevent orders from being placed too close together.
Maximum number of simultaneous pending orders
Default: 3
Limits the number of pending orders that the current bot instance may hold at the same time. It is not the total number of positions across the entire account.
Allow multiple entries at the same swing level
Default: false
false: Prevents repeated entries at the same reference area.
true: Allows repeated or multiple entries at the same reference area.
New users should keep this setting false.
5.8 STOP LOSS & TAKE PROFIT
Stop Loss calculation method
Default: FIXED_PIP
FIXED_PIP
Uses fixed Point distances for Stop Loss and Take Profit.
ATR
Uses market volatility to adjust the Stop Loss and Take Profit distances dynamically.
ATR period for ATR-based SL/TP calculation
Default: 50
The ATR calculation period used when the ATR method is selected. A larger period normally changes more slowly. A smaller period normally reacts more quickly to recent market conditions.
ATR multiplier for dynamic SL/TP
Default: 1
Controls the ATR-based Stop Loss and Take Profit distance. A larger value creates a wider distance. A smaller value creates a closer distance.
Fixed Stop Loss distance in points
Default: 3000
The distance between the entry price and Stop Loss when FIXED_PIP is selected.
Fixed Take Profit distance in points
Default: 3000
The distance between the entry price and Take Profit when FIXED_PIP is selected.
Important:
When FIXED_RISK is selected, changing the Stop Loss distance also changes the calculated lot size. Never reduce the Stop Loss only to obtain a larger lot.
5.9 TRAILING STOP
Trailing Stop method
Default: TRAILING_FIXED_PIP
Selects either a fixed-distance Trailing Stop or an ATR-based Trailing Stop.
TRAILING_FIXED_PIP
Uses the Point settings in this group.
TRAILING_ATR
Adjusts the trailing distance according to market volatility.
ATR period for ATR-based trailing stop
Default: 50
The ATR calculation period used when TRAILING_ATR is selected.
ATR multiplier for trailing stop calculation
Default: 0.25
Controls the ATR-based trailing distance. A smaller value keeps the Stop Loss closer to price. A larger value gives the position more room to move.
Trailing step distance in points
Default: 3000
Controls the movement step used by the fixed Trailing Stop.
Trailing stop distance from current price in points
Default: 300
The intended distance between the current price and the new Stop Loss when fixed trailing is active.
Minimum profit in points before trailing starts
Default: 330
The minimum floating profit required before Trailing Stop management begins.
If the trailing distance is smaller than the broker’s spread, Stop Level, or Freeze Level, a Stop Loss modification may be rejected. Check the Experts and Journal tabs for error messages.
5.10 SUPER TREND FILTER
This section is relevant when Higher timeframe trend confirmation filter is set to SUPER_TREND.
Timeframe used for SuperTrend calculation
Default: H1
The timeframe used for trend confirmation. A higher timeframe usually changes direction less frequently than a lower timeframe.
SuperTrend indicator period
Default: 10
Controls the calculation period. A larger value generally produces smoother and slower changes.
SuperTrend multiplier factor
Default: 5
Controls the sensitivity of the filter. A larger value generally makes the filter less sensitive.
5.11 MOVING AVERAGE FILTER
This section is relevant when Higher timeframe trend confirmation filter is set to MA_TREND.
Timeframe used for Moving Average filter
Default: H1
The timeframe used to calculate the Moving Average filter.
Fast Moving Average period
Default: 21
The period of the fast Moving Average. It should normally be lower than the Slow Moving Average period.
Slow Moving Average period
Default: 200
The period of the slow Moving Average. It represents a longer-term price reference than the fast Moving Average.
5.12 RSI FILTER
This section is relevant when Higher timeframe trend confirmation filter is set to RSI_TREND.
Timeframe used for RSI calculation
Default: H1
The timeframe used for the RSI filter.
RSI period
Default: 14
The RSI calculation period. A smaller value reacts more quickly. A larger value is generally smoother.
RSI slow moving average period
Default: 45
The slow average period used by the RSI filter.
RSI fast moving average period
Default: 9
The fast average period used by the RSI filter. It should normally remain lower than the slow period.
5.13 HIGH & LOW SETTINGS
This group controls the sensitivity of the High and Low areas used by the product. Small changes may significantly affect trade frequency. New users should keep the default values.
Swing sensitivity factor for ZigZag / structure detection
Default: 1.3
Adjusts High and Low sensitivity. A higher value normally reduces sensitivity. A lower value normally increases sensitivity.
Minimum retracement ratio to confirm a valid swing
Default: 0.5
The minimum retracement level required for confirmation. Increasing the value makes the condition stricter.
Maximum number of bars to confirm a swing point
Default: 20
The maximum number of candles used to confirm a High or Low area.
Minimum candle size factor for swing validation
Default: 0.5
The minimum candle-size factor used for confirmation. Increasing the value makes the condition stricter.
Enable drawing swing structure on the chart
Default: false
Displays the High and Low structure on the chart for visual monitoring. This setting does not enable or disable trading.
Change only one High & Low setting at a time, then backtest and forward-test the result before changing another setting.
5.14 — 10) NEWS FILTER
The News Filter pauses new entries around selected economic releases. It uses the economic calendar available inside MetaTrader 5 and automatically considers the currencies associated with each traded symbol.
| Setting shown in Inputs | Default | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Enable News Filter | false | Turn the filter on or off. When false, news does not pause entries or trigger news-related closing or deletion. |
| Pause Before News (minutes) | 5 | Pause new entries this many minutes before a matching event. |
| Resume After News (minutes) | 5 | Keep new entries paused for this many minutes after a matching event. |
| Filter NFP, CPI, PPI, PCE and FOMC events | true | Use a selected list of employment, inflation and central-bank events. Some recognized non-USD monetary-policy events are included. This is not a complete list of every important release worldwide. |
| Filter every High-impact event for symbol currencies (overrides Major only) | false | Filter all events classified as High impact for the relevant currencies. This takes priority when both event-selection switches are true. |
| Delete EA pending orders during news window | true | Delete pending orders belonging to the affected strategy during the news pause. |
| Close EA open positions during news window | true | Close open positions belonging to the affected strategy during the news pause. This can immediately realize a profit or loss. |
| Currencies override; empty = symbol base/profit currencies | Empty | Leave blank for automatic currency selection for each traded symbol. A list such as EUR,USD replaces automatic selection for every strategy in that bot instance. |
Choosing the currencies
Leave Currencies override; empty = symbol base/profit currencies blank for automatic selection. For example, EURUSD considers EUR and USD, GBPJPY considers GBP and JPY, and Gold priced in US dollars normally includes USD news. Prefixes and suffixes are handled using the broker's symbol information. Index and CFD currency selection depends on the information supplied by the broker.
If you trade several pairs, keeping this field blank allows each strategy to use its own currencies. Entering a list such as EUR,USD applies that list to every strategy in the same bot instance.
Choosing the events
- For selected employment, inflation and central-bank releases, keep Filter NFP, CPI, PPI, PCE and FOMC events true.
- For all High-impact events affecting the relevant currencies, set Filter every High-impact event for symbol currencies (overrides Major only) to true.
- If both are true, the all-High-impact selection takes priority. At least one event-selection option must be true when the News Filter is enabled.
Understanding the pause window
Example: an event is scheduled for 15:30 on the broker's server clock. With Pause Before News (minutes) set to 5 and Resume After News (minutes) set to 5, new entries are paused from 15:25 until just before 15:35. Overlapping relevant events can keep the pause active for longer. Starting the bot during an active window is supported.
The values must not be negative or both zero. Incorrect settings can prevent the bot from starting. News times follow the broker's server clock; these relative minute settings are separate from the GMT+0 trading-hours settings.
What happens to existing trades?
Normal position management, trailing and Friday closing continue during a news pause. The two news action settings determine whether existing pending orders are deleted and open positions are closed. These actions target the affected strategy's symbol and Magic Number.
If you only want to pause new entries, set both Delete EA pending orders during news window and Close EA open positions during news window to false. Existing pending orders can still trigger at the broker if you keep them active. Closing or deleting depends on broker acceptance; unsuccessful actions are retried approximately every two seconds while the window remains active.
Calendar availability
The calendar normally refreshes every 60 seconds, with additional checks at the known start and end of a news window. It looks ahead 36 hours. Newly added or rescheduled events may not appear immediately.
If the calendar cannot be read, the bot currently allows trading to continue. It does not automatically stop trading because calendar data is unavailable. Check the Experts log and confirm that calendar data is available before relying on this feature. A backtest without calendar data does not verify news protection; version 2.0 does not include a separate historical-calendar replay feed.
On netting accounts, several strategies trading the same symbol may share one combined position. Magic Numbers cannot fully separate each strategy's share of that position. Check this behavior on Demo before enabling automatic position closing.
5.15 — 11) ANTI-COPY (PENDING ORDERS)
Version 2.0 adds optional random variation to pending entry prices, Stop Loss and Take Profit. This can make individual trade prices differ.
The feature supports Buy Stop, Sell Stop, Buy Limit and Sell Limit orders. Market Buy and Sell orders are not adjusted by this feature.
| Setting shown in Inputs | Default | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price variation (points, 0 = off) | 0.0 | Maximum initial random variation of a pending entry price, in broker points. |
| Stop Loss variation (points, 0 = off) | 0.0 | Maximum initial random variation of Stop Loss. A trade plan without Stop Loss keeps it absent. |
| Take Profit variation (points, used when Keep RR is off) | 0.0 | Maximum initial random variation of Take Profit. For independent TP variation, turn Keep Risk/Reward ratio off. |
| Keep Risk/Reward ratio (requires SL and TP) | true | When the trade plan has both Stop Loss and Take Profit, recalculate Take Profit using the planned reward-to-risk ratio and adjusted entry/Stop Loss. Tick rounding and broker limits can affect the final ratio. |
| Random seed for price variation | 20260130 | A starting value used by the random-price process together with account, symbol and initialization time. Keeping this value unchanged does not guarantee identical results between runs. |
How to turn it off or on
To keep Anti-Copy off, leave all three price-variation amounts at 0.0. The Risk/Reward switch and random seed do not enable it by themselves. Setting at least one variation amount above zero enables the feature. Negative amounts prevent the bot from starting.
What does “points” mean here?
These amounts use the broker's smallest quoted point for the specific traded symbol. They can differ from the adjusted point units used by some other VEGA settings.
- If one broker point equals 0.01, an amount of 5 gives an initial random shift between -0.05 and +0.05.
- If one broker point equals 0.00001, an amount of 5 gives an initial random shift between -0.00005 and +0.00005.
These examples explain the units, not recommended settings. Final prices must also follow the broker's permitted price increments and minimum order distances. Rounding or distance adjustments can remove a small difference or produce a final change larger than the initial random range. Not every order will necessarily receive a different price.
Keeping Risk/Reward or varying Take Profit independently
To vary entry or Stop Loss while keeping the planned reward-to-risk relationship, enter the required variation amounts and leave Keep Risk/Reward ratio (requires SL and TP) true.
To vary Take Profit independently, set Keep Risk/Reward ratio (requires SL and TP) to false, then enter the required value in Take Profit variation (points, used when Keep RR is off).
When the Risk/Reward option is true and both Stop Loss and Take Profit exist, the Take Profit variation amount is ignored. Take Profit is calculated from the adjusted entry and Stop Loss instead. Therefore, entering only a Take Profit variation while leaving that option true may not create the change you expect.
Effect on lot size and trade management
The bot checks its entry conditions, applies any enabled AI pending-entry adjustment, applies the price variation, checks broker price-distance requirements, then calculates volume before submitting the pending order. A trade plan without Stop Loss or Take Profit keeps that missing level absent.
With fixed-lot sizing, the existing fixed-lot method remains in use. With risk-based sizing, a changed Stop Loss distance can change the calculated lot size. Large variation amounts can also materially alter entry prices and the spacing between later orders. Test each setting separately on Demo before combining them.
5.16 SECTION 12) USER INTERFACE AND AI TRAILING
ON/OFF UI
Default: true
Enables or disables the visual brand interface on the chart. This option does not enable or disable trading.
Use AI Model For Traling Stop
Default: false
Enables or disables AI-assisted Trailing Stop management. New users should keep this setting false. Enable it only after testing it on a Demo account and confirming that Stop Loss movement is suitable for the intended use.
The word “Traling” is the spelling displayed by the current product Input.
5.17 UPGRADING TO VERSION 2.0
Review the new 10) NEWS FILTER and 11) ANTI-COPY (PENDING ORDERS) groups after updating. Older saved settings do not automatically map the previous news controls to all the new controls. Open Inputs, review the values and save a new settings file.
The default news pause is now 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after an event, instead of 15/15 in the previous manual. The event controls now offer selected major releases or all High-impact events instead of the previous separate High/Medium/Low and individual special-event switches.
By default, Enable News Filter is false and all three Anti-Copy variation amounts are 0.0. Both features therefore remain off until configured. Keep your current risk controls and test the updated configuration on Demo.
The Inputs groups are numbered 10 for News Filter, 11 for Anti-Copy and 12 for the user interface. The 5.14–5.16 numbers in this guide are document subsection numbers.
6. RECOMMENDED STARTING CONFIGURATION
6.1 New users who want simple risk control
- Select VEGA_CUSTOM_SETTINGS.
- Use a Demo account.
- Select FIXED_VOL.
- Set Fixed lot size to 0.01.
- Set automatic lot scaling to false.
- Keep Stop Loss, Take Profit, trend filter, and High & Low settings at their default values.
- Keep the AI Entry Filter and AI Trailing disabled during the first test.

7. SAVING AND LOADING SETTINGS
To save a configuration:
- Open the bot’s Inputs window.
- Select Save.
- Store the configuration as a .set file.
- Use a descriptive file name containing the symbol, timeframe, broker, and date.
Example:
XAUUSD_H1_BrokerName_2026-08.set
To load a configuration:
- Open the Inputs window.
- Select Load.
- Choose the required .set file.
- Recheck Settings Mode, Magic Number, lot or risk, symbol aliases, and time settings.
- Select OK only after confirming the values.
Do not use a Gold Settings file for an index or another broker without checking Points, contract size, minimum lot, lot step, and Stop Level.
8. TESTING BEFORE LIVE TRADING
Complete the following checks before using the bot with real money:
- Run a Strategy Tester backtest using accurate tick data where available.
- Run a forward test on a Demo account across multiple market sessions.
- Observe operation during normal market conditions and economic news periods.
- Confirm the actual trading volume of every order.
- Confirm the Stop Loss and Take Profit distances.
- Confirm when Trailing Stop begins and how it moves.
- Confirm the GMT+0 time settings and Friday closing behavior.
- Restart MT5 or the VPS and make sure the bot initializes correctly.
- Verify that no other Custom instance uses the same Magic Number.
- Move to a live account only with a small and acceptable risk level.
9. MONITORING THE BOT
Use the following MT5 areas while the bot is running:
Experts tab
Shows initialization messages, trading messages, News Filter status, and Expert Advisor errors.
Journal tab
Shows terminal connection, Algo Trading status, and platform-level messages.
Trade tab
Shows active positions and pending orders. Check symbol, lot size, entry price, Stop Loss, Take Profit, and trade comment.
Market Watch > Specification
Shows Digits, Tick Size, minimum volume, volume step, Stop Level, Freeze Level, contract specification, and trading sessions.
Do not remove the bot from the chart or close MT5 if you expect it to continue managing open positions and pending orders.
10. TROUBLESHOOTING
10.1 The bot does not open trades
Check the following:
- Algo Trading is enabled in MT5.
- Allow Algo Trading is enabled in the Expert Advisor properties.
- The account is connected and the market is open.
- The current time is permitted by the GMT+0 Time Filter.
- The News Filter is not locking trading.
- The AI entry condition is not filtering the entry.
- The selected trend confirmation filter permits trading.
- The maximum trades or pending-order limit has not been reached.
- The account has sufficient free margin.
- The calculated lot is accepted by the broker.
- The Experts tab does not show an indicator or invalid-stops error.
The absence of a trade does not automatically mean that the bot is malfunctioning. Market conditions may not meet the selected settings.
10.2 Preset cannot find a symbol
- Open Market Watch.
- Select Symbols.
- Find the exact Gold and Nasdaq/USTEC symbol names used by the broker.
- Select Show for the required symbols.
- Add the exact names to the corresponding alias lists.
- Remove and reattach the bot to initialize it again.
10.3 Trading volume is larger than expected
- Check the selected Position sizing method.
- Check Risk percentage per trade.
- Disable automatic lot scaling.
- Check whether the Stop Loss distance is too small.
- Make sure multiple instances are not trading the same configuration.
- Confirm the broker’s minimum lot and volume step.
10.4 Positions close or pending orders disappear near news
This is expected when the News Filter is enabled together with Close EA open positions during news window or Delete EA pending orders during news window.
Disable the unwanted action, or disable the News Filter entirely, if this behavior is not required.
10.5 Trailing Stop does not operate
- The position should have an initial Stop Loss.
- Floating profit must reach Minimum profit before trailing starts.
- The requested Stop Loss must comply with the broker’s Stop Level and Freeze Level.
- The position must belong to the correct symbol and Magic Number.
- Check the Experts and Journal tabs for modification errors.
- If AI Trailing is selected, test the feature on Demo before relying on it.
10.6 Changed settings do not affect the result
Check Use custom inputs or built-in preset. When VEGA_PRESET_SETTINGS is selected, most Custom inputs are managed automatically by the Preset.
10.7 Invalid Stops error
The selected Stop Loss, Take Profit, or Trailing distance may be too close to the current price for the broker’s contract rules.
Increase the relevant Point distance and check Market Watch > Specification > Stop Level and Freeze Level.
11. IMPORTANT SAFETY RULES
- Never use the same Magic Number for different Custom configurations.
- Never increase risk only because recent trades were profitable.
- Never copy Point settings between Gold, Forex, and indices without checking the price distance.
- Do not enable several advanced features at the same time before testing each one separately.
- Do not use a live account immediately after a short backtest.
- Do not change important settings while open positions or pending orders still require management.
- Do not manually change Stop Loss or Take Profit unless you understand that the bot may manage them again.
- Do not purchase cracked copies or contact unofficial sellers.
12. FINAL CHECKLIST BEFORE SELECTING OK
- The correct trading account and broker are being used.
- The correct Custom or Preset mode is selected.
- The correct chart symbol is open.
- All symbols required by Preset are visible in Market Watch.
- The Magic Number is unique.
- Fixed Lot or Risk % is appropriate for the account.
- Automatic lot scaling has been reviewed.
- Stop Loss and Take Profit distances have been checked.
- Trailing Stop values have been checked.
- Point values have been verified for the broker’s quotation format.
- Trading hours have been converted to GMT+0.
