HowToTrade Adaptive Pro combines three trading profiles in one MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor. This tutorial shows how to try the free Market demo, choose a profile and understand the dashboard before deciding whether to purchase or rent it.

Watch the 43-second feature overview

The HowToTrade_Adaptive_Pro_Feature_Overview.mp4 attachment below introduces Quick Scalp, Day and Swing, position management and dashboard information. It is a feature overview, not a recording of trading results. Try the free Market demo in Strategy Tester using the steps below.

Start with the free Market demo

In MT5, open Market from Navigator, search for HowToTrade Adaptive Pro, open the product and select Free Download. Find the downloaded EA in Navigator and choose Test, or select it in Strategy Tester with Ctrl+R.

The free Market demo runs in Strategy Tester. It cannot trade on an online chart, even if the connected broker account is a demo account. A purchased or rented copy can be used on a broker demo account. Official Market demo instructions

Choose the broker's symbol, test dates, deposit and leverage. Use Every tick based on real ticks where the history is available, and inspect commission, spread, swap and execution assumptions. Enable visual mode to see the EA's dashboard and orders. In Inputs, reset to defaults, choose InpTradingMode and press Start. Strategy Tester guide

Choose a mode

Profile Default signal / trend / structure Management
Quick Scalp M1 / M15 / H1 Adjustable entry bursts and basket exits
Day M15 / H1 / H4 Initial stops, partial profits, break-even and trailing
Swing H1 / H4 / D1 Initial stops, partial profits, break-even and trailing

These timeframes apply when InpAutoModeTimeframes is enabled. They are profile defaults, not a performance recommendation for a particular market.

Quick Scalp starts with 8 entries of 0.01 lots per confirmed setup and a basket profit target of 20 in the account currency. The Market version enables adjustable loss protection by default: a basket loss-exit trigger at 5% of account balance and an initial stop at 1.5 ATR. Profitable reversal and peak-profit giveback exits are also configurable. Further aligned setups can add entries, so total exposure can increase. Separate positions need a hedging account; a netting account combines entry deals into one symbol position.

The basket profit target is an input setting, not an expected return. The loss threshold is an exit trigger, not a guaranteed maximum loss. Gaps, slippage and execution delays can increase the final loss. EA-managed basket exits require the terminal to remain running and receive ticks.

Day and Swing use initial stops and manage a remaining position after partial profit taking. Day's discretionary reversal exits require a minimum age of 5 hours; Swing's require 24 hours. These are minimum ages for that exit rule, not guaranteed holding durations. Protective stops can close positions sooner. Fixed take profit is off by default so the remaining position can follow its trailing stop.

Read the dashboard

The dashboard shows the active profile, effective timeframes, setup direction and quality, position count and lots, floating result, today's realized result, spread, status and management. Today's result uses the broker's day. Floating results include swap and paid entry costs; final closing costs and prices are known only after a trade closes.

Waiting for history or a confirmed setup is normal. The EA checks for a qualifying entry on the first tick with ready indicators; immediate attachment does not guarantee an immediate order. If no trade appears, read Status and the relevant Journal messages.

Change the profile

On a chart using the paid or rented EA, press F7, select Inputs, change InpTradingMode and select OK. If EA trades or pending orders remain, their original profile stays active and new entries pause. The chosen profile is queued until those positions and pending orders are clear and the new indicators are ready. You do not need to reattach the EA after an ordinary mode change.

In Strategy Tester, select the mode in Inputs before each run. Reset before loading a supplied starting preset: presets change their listed inputs and do not reset every unrelated setting. They are starting profiles for testing, not optimized settings or validated symbol recommendations.

Review the complete result

Save the full preset, test dates, broker and symbol, tick model, deposit and leverage, costs and delay assumptions, report and Journal. Read drawdown and trade count alongside the net result. Keep losing runs as well as winning runs. Official test report guide

Market technical validation checks software behavior and does not establish profitable trading. Historical results do not guarantee future results. No verified profitability result or minimum suitable account balance is claimed in this tutorial.

Download the buyer guide and starting presets

The HowToTrade_Buyer_Downloads.zip attachment below includes a PDF buyer guide, Quick Scalp, Day and Swing starting presets, and loading instructions. Extract the ZIP, reset Inputs to defaults, then load the preset for your next test. The presets are starting settings, not optimized settings or a profitability claim.
