How to update Corvux Monitor Premium to the latest version

1. How Updates Work on the MQL5 Market

The MQL5 Market uses an automatic update system. When a developer publishes a new version of a product, the terminal detects it and notifies you. However, updates are not always applied automatically — in many cases you must confirm or trigger them manually.

Updates on the MQL5 Market are tied to your MQL5 account. As long as you are logged in, the terminal will check for new versions periodically.

2. Checking for Available Updates

Method 1: Through the Market Tab

1. Open Toolbox → Market.

2. Click on My Purchases.

3. Look for Corvux Monitor Premium.

4. If an update is available, you will see an Update button next to the product name.

5. Click Update to download and apply the new version.

Method 2: Through the Terminal Journal

When a new version is released, the terminal may print a message in the Journal tab (Toolbox → Journal) similar to:

If you see this message, follow Method 1 to apply the update.

3. Updating the Product

Once you click Update:

1. The terminal downloads the new .ex5 file.

2. The old version is replaced automatically.

3. The product in the Navigator is updated in place.

Important: If the product is currently attached to a chart, you should remove it from the chart before updating to avoid conflicts.

Recommended procedure:

1. Remove Corvux Monitor Premium from all charts.

2. Apply the update via the Market tab.

3. Restart MetaTrader 5.

4. Re-attach the product to your chart.

4. What Happens to My Settings?

Your input parameters are not stored inside the product. They are stored by MetaTrader 5 in the chart template or in the profile. When you re-attach the product after an update, your previous inputs will be restored from the saved template.

However, panel state persistence (position, layout, minimized state) is handled by the product itself using Global Variables. These persist across updates and terminal restarts, so your panel position and layout will be preserved.

5. What Happens to My Data?

Corvux Monitor Premium does not store historical data externally. All metrics are calculated from live account state (open positions, orders, deal history). When you update:

• CSV logs remain in MQL5/Files/ and are not deleted.

• HTML reports remain in MQL5/Files/ and are not deleted.

• Baseline learning restarts from zero after an update, because the internal buffers are reset.

If you want to preserve baseline learning data across an update, you must avoid updating while the product is running with important baseline data. Consider exporting an HTML report before updating.

6. Forcing an Update Check

If you believe an update is available but the terminal does not show it:

1. Go to Tools → Options → Community.

2. Click OK to re-trigger the account sync.

3. Open Toolbox → Market → My Purchases and refresh the list (right-click → Refresh).

If the update still does not appear, it may not be published yet for your region or account type. Wait 24 hours and try again.

7. Version Compatibility

Corvux Monitor Premium requires:

• MetaTrader 5 build 3260 or later

• Windows 10/11, macOS, or Linux (via Wine)

• 64-bit terminal recommended

If you are running an older build, update MetaTrader 5 first through Help → Check for Updates.

8. Rolling Back to a Previous Version

The MQL5 Market does not provide a built-in rollback feature. If a new version introduces a problem:

1. Contact support via the product page.

2. Describe the issue with as much detail as possible.

3. The developer may publish a hotfix or provide a temporary workaround.

Do not attempt to manually replace the .ex5 file with an older version, as this can break the Market licensing check.

9. Update Frequency

Corvux Monitor Premium follows a semantic versioning scheme:

• Major updates (X.0.0): New features, possible breaking changes

• Minor updates (X.Y.0): New features, backward compatible

• Patch updates (X.Y.Z): Bug fixes, no new features

Updates are typically released when:

• A new feature is ready

• A critical bug is reported

• MetaTrader 5 introduces a new build with compatibility requirements
