How Updates Are Delivered Corvux Gate

Corvux Gate is updated automatically through the MQL5 Market. When a new version is published, MetaTrader 5 notifies you and provides an Update button in the Market tab. Updates include bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features. All updates are free for existing customers. As part of the Corvux ecosystem, Corvux Gate receives updates that ensure compatibility with other Corvux tools and with changes to prop firm rules.

When updates are released

Updates are released as needed, typically in the following situations:

• A bug is reported and confirmed by the developer.

• A new prop firm rule is introduced and a new preset is needed.

• A new feature is ready and has been tested.

• A compatibility issue with a new MetaTrader 5 build is discovered.

• A change is needed to keep the product aligned with MQL5 Market requirements.

There is no fixed update schedule. Some months may have multiple updates; others may have none. The goal is to publish updates only when they add real value.

How to check for updates

There are three ways to check for updates:

1. Open the Terminal window and click the Market tab. If an update is available for Corvux Gate, an Update button appears next to the product name.

2. Right-click the product in the Market tab and select Update.

3. Check the product page on the MQL5 Market website. The page displays the current version number and the release date of the latest update.

How to install an update

To install an update:

1. Open the Terminal window and click the Market tab.

2. Locate Corvux Gate in the Purchased section.

3. Click the Update button next to the product name.

4. MetaTrader 5 downloads the new version and replaces the existing files automatically.

5. After the update is complete, restart MetaTrader 5 to ensure that the new version is loaded correctly.

6. If Corvux Gate is already running on a chart, remove it and reattach it after the restart.

Verifying the new version

After restarting MetaTrader 5:

1. Drag Corvux Gate onto a chart.

2. Open the settings window.

3. The version number is displayed in the window title and in the About section.

4. Confirm that the version matches the latest release announced on the MQL5 Market product page.

If the version does not match, the update may not have been applied correctly. In that case, uninstall and reinstall the product from the MQL5 Market.

Preserving your settings

Your input parameters, panel position, and minimized state are preserved across updates. Corvux Gate stores these values locally and restores them when the utility is reloaded. If you use a prop firm preset, it remains selected after the update. If you have configured Hard Block with a custom prefix, that prefix is also preserved.

Recompiling after updates

In some cases, MetaTrader 5 may require you to recompile the product after an update. If the panel does not appear or behaves unexpectedly after updating, follow these steps:

1. Open MetaEditor from the MetaTrader 5 toolbar.

2. In the Navigator, locate Corvux Gate in the Experts\Market folder.

3. Open the file Corvux_Gate.mq5.

4. Press F7 to recompile.

5. Return to MetaTrader 5 and reattach the utility to the chart.

Recompiling is usually not necessary, but it can resolve issues caused by cached compiled files.

Rollback to a previous version

If an update introduces an issue that affects your trading, you can roll back to a previous version by uninstalling and reinstalling the product from the MQL5 Market. However, rollbacks are not officially supported and may not preserve all settings. Report any issues through the MQL5 Market comments section so that they can be addressed in a future update.

Update frequency

Updates are released as needed. To stay informed:

1. Enable notifications in the MQL5 Market settings.

2. Check the product page periodically.

3. Follow the comments section for announcements about new releases.

Ecosystem compatibility

Corvux Gate is designed to work alongside Corvux Radar, Corvux Monitor, Corvux Guard, and Corvux Command. Updates to any product in the ecosystem are tested for compatibility with the others. If you use multiple Corvux tools, update them together to ensure that shared features such as global variables and audit logs remain consistent.

If you update Corvux Gate but not the other Corvux tools, you may encounter compatibility issues. The safest approach is to update all Corvux products at the same time.

What to do if an update breaks your setup

If an update breaks your setup, follow these steps:

1. Remove Corvux Gate from all charts.

2. Restart MetaTrader 5.

3. Reinstall the previous version from the MQL5 Market, if available.

4. Report the issue in the comments section with as much detail as possible.

5. In the meantime, use Corvux Gate on a demo account until the issue is resolved.
