Gold and Dollar Yen each combine several trading strategies for one market. Multi Asset covers currencies, gold, a US stock index and Bitcoin. Each product runs as a single EA on an MT5 hedging account, with its strategies already built in.

Here is how their market coverage, setup and risk controls differ.

The main differences

Product Markets Built-in strategies Strategy timeframes
Gold XAUUSD 20 H1 and H4
Dollar Yen USDJPY 9 H2
Multi Asset Six markets 11 H1, H2 and H4

H1, H2 and H4 mean one-hour, two-hour and four-hour data. The built-in strategies are called modules in the product documentation.

Gold: a portfolio focused on XAUUSD

EdgeDriven Gold Portfolio is for evaluating several gold strategies within one EA. Attach it to your broker's XAUUSD H1 chart; it uses H1 and H4 history internally.

Position sizing is controlled through Conservative, Standard, High or Custom profiles. The default is Standard. Changing profiles adjusts sizing without changing the strategy selection.

The additional PortfolioRiskScale setting is a percentage multiplier of the selected profile. Its default value of 100 means the profile's normal sizing—not 100% of your account at risk.

Gold offers several approaches to trading one market. It does not add exposure to currencies or stock indices.

Dollar Yen: a separate USDJPY strategy portfolio

EdgeDriven Dollar Yen Portfolio contains nine fixed USDJPY strategies using H2 data. It is a separate portfolio, not the Gold product with a different symbol selected. Run one instance on your broker's USDJPY H2 chart.

Entries use pending stop orders. The EA also manages protective stop losses, break-even adjustments and exits based on the number of bars a position has been held.

Its sizing controls are BaseRiskPercent and ProductRiskScale. The published reference uses 0.9 and 1.0 respectively, with compounding off. At those settings, each module has a nominal entry budget of 0.1% of the stored starting balance, before lot rounding. This is a sizing budget, not a maximum drawdown limit.

Multi Asset: six markets managed by one EA

EdgeDriven Multi Asset Portfolio covers USDJPY, EURUSD, GBPUSD, XAUUSD, US100 and BTCUSD. One instance manages all eleven modules; its internal H1, H2 and H4 strategies do not depend on the attached chart's timeframe.

The portfolio has four USDJPY modules, three BTCUSD modules and one for each remaining market. Its initial risk budget is divided equally by module, not by market.

Risk choices are Low 2%, Standard 5%, High 10% or Custom, with Standard as the default. Sizing uses account balance by default, with equity also available. These percentages are not drawdown ceilings.

Broker symbols can be detected automatically or mapped manually. If a market is unavailable, its modules remain inactive and their risk budget is not reassigned. The others can continue, but you need all six markets to evaluate the full portfolio.

Check the account, not just the strategy count

All three skip a trade when the broker's minimum lot would exceed its sizing budget. A smaller account can therefore take fewer trades; the starting deposits in the published tests are reference conditions, not universal minimums.

The products also use different risk settings and backtest assumptions. Do not copy a numerical risk setting from one EA to another or rank them by net profit alone. More strategies or markets do not, by themselves, establish lower risk.

Try the portfolio that matches your intended markets

Once you have chosen the market coverage you want, use the free Market demo in MT5 Strategy Tester to check the EA with your broker. The demo is not a live-account trial.

Each product page contains its test conditions and results. Dollar Yen also has a public forward record. As of 20 September 2026, that record is still short, and Gold and Multi Asset have no dedicated public forward record. It should not be treated as evidence for the other products.

If a test raises a technical question, send the settings and relevant log excerpt through MQL5 Comments or Messages, with credentials removed. That lets us address the actual setup rather than guess from the profit figure.

Trading can result in substantial losses. Historical results and risk settings do not guarantee future performance or limit the maximum loss.
