1. What does this program do?

Trade Planner is a risk management tool that enables you to analyze multiple trading scenarios within a single account. It provides projections of profit and swap for both virtual and real trading positions, as well as forecasts of key account parameters—such as equity, free margin, and margin level—across any price level and point in time.

Further details are available in the Product Description and the User Manual.

2. After installation process of the program, the EP circle and its price line do not appear.

Assuming the main panel is visible, simply click the RESET button on it. The EP circle should then appear at the center of the chart.

The reason is related to the timing of the data-receiving process. Also, keep in mind that some indicators may affect performance, extending the chart preparation time and influencing the EP position.

However, if the main panel is visible, it means the core of the program has loaded successfully.

3. How to get into input parameters of the program?

To open the input parameters, right-click the Expert Advisor icon located in the top-right corner of the chart and select “Properties of TRADE_PLANNER”. You can also press F7 to open the parameters window directly.

4. The Trade Planner's graphical user interface is too big / small on the chart.

To adjust the size of graphical elements, modify the GUI Scale parameter in the STYLE, COLORS, VIEW section of the input parameters. If the EP or VPO labels appear too large, you can set a description font size to small in the same section.

5. I can’t place or modify pending orders or open positions.

Before placing any orders, make sure that Algo Trading is enabled in two places — both globally in Meta Trader and inside the Trade Planner panel. Also, verify that One-Click Trading is enabled in your terminal settings under the Trade tab.

6. I can't move VPO / EP objects after loading a chart even if symbol was loaded in the terminal.

This usually means the terminal is still receiving historical data. Wait a moment until the data is fully loaded.

7. Account parameters in EP(s) differ from the real account status.

Account parameters shown in EPs may differ from your actual account metrics. Evaluation Points calculate all values based on the reserved capital and their connected trading points.

If you are analyzing only one symbol per account and the reserved balance parameter is set to 0 (meaning the entire balance is used), Trade Planner’s EP objects will reflect the real account status.

In all other cases — for example, when there are open positions on other symbols — each EP should be treated as a sub-account, using only a portion of your total capital allocated to the analyzed symbol. This approach helps minimize overall risk compared to scenarios where your entire balance is exposed to a single market.

Additionally, you can allocate more capital virtually than your current account balance if you plan to increase deposits later — useful when projecting future account growth or testing higher-capital scenarios.

8. Not enough free margin to open trades.

When planning or testing new trade scenarios, ensure you have enough free margin to open positions — both virtually and in real trading. If free margin becomes negative, some messages may appear along EP line, indicating insufficient capital to support the planned trades.

For more information, check ADDITIONAL NOTES section in the manual.

9. I can’t add more Evaluation Points or VPOs. Why?

To maintain performance, Trade Planner limits the total number of objects (EPs + VPOs) to 50. If you reach this limit, consider using presets, which allow you to save up to 10 graphical layouts per symbol, each representing a separate setup.
