from the April FOMC meeting is likely to get the most attention today as
the calendar is thin.

“The minutes are to likely to show that the FOMC members had a rich
discussion and that the committee is divided over the need for a
near-term rate hike and give some indication on the probability of a US
rate hike already in June or July. Our main scenario is still that the
Fed will stay on hold until September and hike only once this year.
The weekly US oil inventory data are likely to get some attention today.
Last week the oil market rallied on estimates that the decline in US
crude production was accelerating. This week the market will look for
further confirmation of this trend.”
