Argo Navis Momentum — XAUUSD Multi-Timeframe Breakout EA | 14 breakout strategies. One idea: trade the break of the ceiling and the floor. Gold respects its swing highs and swing lows — until it doesn't. Argo Navis Momentum maps the nearest CEILING and FLOOR on several timeframes at once and places stop orders just ahead of them, so it is already in the trade when momentum breaks through. User guide (read before you start)
Strategy
- 14 independent breakout strategies, each named after a star of the Argo Navis constellation
- Each one reads CEILING and FLOOR levels on its own timeframe: H1, H2, H4 and D1 swings, scanned from M5 up to H1
- Buy stop just below the ceiling, sell stop just above the floor: the order triggers as the level breaks, not after the move is gone
- Every strategy has its own magic number, levels, stops and order lifetime, so a quiet timeframe never blocks an active one
Exit management
- Fixed stop loss and take profit on every order, set at entry
- Break-even lock once the trade moves into profit
- Trailing stop per strategy, tuned to the timeframe it trades
- Unfilled orders expire automatically and are replaced when a new level forms
Built-in protection
- News filter: pauses around high-impact USD events (NFP, CPI, FOMC)
- Weekend protection: no new orders before the Friday close or right after the Monday open
- Spread filter: no new orders while the spread is wide
- Daily loss limit and prop-firm mode (daily and total drawdown caps)
- Optional cap on total open positions
- Margin, lot-size, order-limit, stop-level and freeze-level checks before every request
- No trade requests while the market is closed
Position sizing
- Auto lot: risk a fixed % of balance per trade, based on each strategy's stop distance
- Fixed lot: the same lot on every order
- Note: on small accounts the broker's minimum lot can exceed the intended risk for the strategies with the widest stops. Use a lower risk %, or a larger deposit.
Chart visuals
- Dashboard: account, performance, market status, open positions, news, one-click close
- CEILING / FLOOR radar: the nearest armed buy stop and sell stop, their distance and owner
- Argo Navis chart theme, restored when the EA is removed
Requirements
- Symbol: XAUUSD (any suffix, e.g. XAUUSD+, XAUUSDm)
- Account: hedging recommended. Netting is supported, but opposite-side entries are skipped.
- Broker: low-spread ECN / raw account
- VPS recommended for 24/5 operation
- Minimum deposit: 200 USD (500–1,000 USD recommended)
- Attach to ONE chart only — any timeframe; the EA reads the timeframes it needs on its own
