A fully parametric, single-position trend-following EA for any instrument.

What it does

Universal Trend Follower combines a higher-timeframe trend filter with a lower-timeframe entry trigger, then manages every trade with a real, broker-side stop loss and ATR-based trailing — no grid, no martingale, no hedging, and no averaging into losing positions. One position at a time, sized from your own risk tolerance.

How the signal works

Direction (higher timeframe). You choose the timeframe and a single moving average (EMA or SMA, any period). The trend is confirmed only when both of the following agree:

• Price is above the MA (or below it), and
• The MA itself is rising (or falling) versus the previous bar.

If price and slope disagree, the EA holds the last confirmed direction rather than trading on a mixed signal.

Entry (lower timeframe). You choose a second timeframe and MA. When that MA makes a 3-bar dip or peak in the same direction as the confirmed trend, the EA opens a single market order.

Risk management, built in

• Real stop loss and trailing stop, both set as a multiple of ATR — visible on your broker's server, not simulated client-side.
• Reversal-exit protection: before a trade becomes profitable enough to arm trailing, the EA re-checks the entry signal on every new bar. If it's no longer confirmed, the position closes without waiting for the stop loss. Once trailing is armed, this check steps aside and lets trailing do its job.
• Risk-based position sizing (optional): lot size is derived from a percentage of account balance and the stop-loss distance, so risk stays proportional to your account size and to the instrument's own volatility — not a fixed lot regardless of conditions.
• Account-level equity circuit breaker: trading halts automatically if drawdown reaches a threshold you set, and resumes automatically once equity recovers below a second, lower threshold — no manual restart required.
• Optional spread filter (expressed as a fraction of ATR, so it scales with any instrument) and an optional volatility filter.

On-chart dashboard

A live panel shows the confirmed direction, the exact state of every entry condition (price-vs-MA, MA slope, entry turn, volatility, spread), the current position and its stop, and running statistics (trade count, win rate, total and average P/L) — so you can see exactly why the EA is or isn't in a trade at any moment.

Configuration

Every timeframe and MA period is an input — there is no instrument built into the EA. This is deliberate: a gold CFD, a stock index, and a cryptocurrency pair do not behave alike, and a single fixed combination of settings cannot fit all of them.

Before trading live, validate your own timeframe, MA, and ATR multiplier choices for the specific instrument using the Strategy Tester. Defaults are provided as a reasonable starting point only.

Sinyal nasıl çalışır

• Fiyat bu ortalamanın üstünde (ya da altında), ve

Fiyat ve eğim uyuşmazsa, EA karışık bir sinyalle işlem açmak yerine son teyit edilen yönü korur.

Giriş (kısa vade). İkinci bir zaman dilimi ve ortalama seçersiniz. Bu ortalama, teyit edilen yönle aynı tarafta 3 barlık bir dip ya da zirve yaptığında, EA tek bir piyasa emri açar.

Risk yönetimi, koda gömülü

• Gerçek stop-loss ve trailing stop, ikisi de ATR'nin bir katı olarak ayarlanır — broker'ın sunucusunda görünür, istemci tarafında simüle edilmez.
• Ters dönüş koruması: pozisyon, trailing'i devreye sokacak kadar kâra geçmeden önce, EA giriş sinyalini her yeni barda yeniden kontrol eder. Sinyal artık geçerli değilse, stop-loss beklenmeden pozisyon kapatılır. Trailing devreye girdikten sonra bu kontrol kendini devre dışı bırakır, işi trailing'e bırakır.
