Trade management for existing positions
Breakout Exit Sentinel is a MetaTrader 5 trade-management utility for applying a defined exit process after a breakout position has been opened.
It does not open positions or place pending orders. It monitors and manages only the existing positions that meet your selected symbol, magic-number and scope filters.
What it does
- Shows the active management plan and position state directly on the chart.
- Supports configurable automatic exit management, which is disabled by default.
- Can secure a configured portion of an eligible open position when the configured conditions are met.
- Manages the remaining runner with the selected trailing settings.
- Uses independent exit checks, so the management process is not dependent on one condition alone.
- Displays price-context zones and clear management status for a quick review of the active plan.
- Supports both hedging and netting account modes. On netting accounts, a partial reduction is bounded by the current position volume.
How to use
- Attach Breakout Exit Sentinel to the chart for the instrument you intend to manage.
- Review the Inputs and set the position scope, exit rules, partial-exit behaviour and trailing behaviour for your trading plan.
- Keep automated trading disabled while configuring or observing. Enable it only when you intend the utility to manage eligible existing positions automatically.
- Monitor the on-chart status panel and the terminal Trade tab while positions are open.
Important information
Breakout Exit Sentinel is a trade-management utility. It does not guarantee profits, prevent losses or replace a trading plan. Execution can be affected by market conditions, liquidity, broker rules, minimum-volume and stop-distance requirements, and terminal connectivity. Test every setting on a demo account before using it on a live account.
Requirements
- MetaTrader 5
- The utility must be attached to the intended chart and configured for the intended positions.
- Any automated trade-management action requires permission for automated trading in the terminal.
