Built for Traders Who Use Session Structure
Whether you trade Forex, indices, commodities, or other instruments available through MT5, this indicator gives you a clean way to visualize where trading activity accumulated during each major market session.
Quickly identify:
POC — the price level with the greatest volume concentration.
VAH / VAL — the upper and lower boundaries of the calculated Value Area.
Session High / Low — the actual range established during the selected trading session.
Custom Range Profile — analyze a larger or specifically defined period without manually drawing a Fixed Range Volume Profile every time.
Input Settings:
1. You can go to the Babypips Forex Market Hours website page, select your local time zone there to know your GMT + or - time zone with your session start to end time hours to input that information into your settings.
2. Use GMT for universal time or your GMT + or - time zones if you wanna switch them during spring forward and daylight savings instead of manually increasing your start and end session times by an hour with GMT. Since I'm in Pacific Time here in the US, I can use GMT, or GMT-7 for spring forward, and GMT-8 for daylight savings. Use my inputs in the screen shots below for reference.
3. If you're still having issues getting the right session start and end times, message the seller, and he will help you get them set up in your GMT time zone.
Known limitation — Row Size calibration varies by pair. This indicator places volume using 1-minute bar data, while TradingView's native FRVP tool uses finer underlying data. On calmer pairs this rarely matters, but on higher-volatility majors (GBPUSD, USDJPY, and possibly others) it means the same Row Size/Ticks Per Row values that give clean results on TradingView can misalign Value Area High/Low and POC here.
Fix: for affected pairs, lower "Number of Rows" to or around 10, or raise "Ticks Per Row" to or around 120, until VAH/VAL/POC visually align with or close to TradingView's FRVP on that symbol. This is a data-resolution limitation of MQL5's available price history, not a broken setting — treat it as a per-symbol calibration step rather than a universal value.
