Florencia — Expert Advisor Based on Trendline Breakouts for XAU/USD
Florencia is an intelligent trading Expert Advisor designed specifically for trading the XAU/USD pair (gold vs. US dollar).
It uses a breakout strategy based on trendlines, automatically identifying key levels and entering trades when those levels are broken, with built-in filtering for false signals.
Flexible settings for time, risk, and trade management make Florencia a powerful tool for both beginners and experienced traders.
Expert Advisor Settings
These are the parameters you can adjust to fit your trading style:
Trading Time (in UTC)
start_utc_hour — The hour when trading starts (UTC). Determines from what time the EA is allowed to open trades.
end_utc_hour — The hour when trading ends (UTC). After this time, no new trades are opened.
Trade Management
trailingStop — Trailing stop value in points. The stop loss automatically follows the price once the trade becomes profitable.
stopLoss_ — Fixed stop loss in points, used to protect capital.
takeProfit_ — Take profit level in points. The EA secures profits once the price reaches this level.
Risk and Volume
risk_ — Risk level per trade (as a percentage of the balance). The EA calculates the lot size automatically based on the stop loss distance.
delta_ — Minimum price distance (in points) required to enter a trade. Used as a volatility or breakout strength filter.
Strategy Filters
breakout_ — Enables or disables breakout trading logic. If enabled, the EA opens trades when a breakout is detected.
Profit_ — Minimum expected profit required to trigger a trade.
Important Note: Time-Based Trading Logic
A key feature of Florencia is its ability to trade only during a specified time window, which you define using the start_utc_hour and end_utc_hour parameters (in universal time UTC).
Please note:
In the MetaTrader Strategy Tester, the EA cannot determine your broker’s actual UTC offset, since MetaTrader does not provide time zone data in historical testing mode.
As a result, backtest results may slightly differ from the real performance shown in the provided screenshots.
