Tidewall Rollover helps futures traders change contract before expiry, without forgetting a position and without errors in the stops.
Every quarter, Nasdaq, S&P 500, Dow, gold and other futures contracts expire. Tidewall Rollover warns you in time and moves your positions from the expiring contract to the next one.
What it does
- Reads the expiry date from your broker (or from a date you enter) and shows the days left on a clear panel.
- Daily warning from N days before expiry (7 by default), on screen and on your phone.
- Moves each position to the next contract: same side, same volume, same magic number, so your robots keep managing their trades.
- Shifts the stop loss and take profit by the price gap between the two contracts, so your risk stays the same.
- Opens the new position first, then closes the old one. If something fails, the old position is kept and you are told.
- Reminds you of pending orders that are left on the old contract.
Two modes
- Alert (default): warnings, plus a Roll positions now button to roll when you decide (a second click confirms).
- Auto: rolls by itself N days before expiry, after the hour you choose (server time).
Good to know
- Filter by magic number to roll only one robot, or all positions on the old contract.
- Attach it to a chart of the next contract, and enter the expiring one in the settings.
- Rolling means a new trade at the market: commissions and spread apply, as with a manual roll.
- Panel and alerts in English or French.
