Overview
MarketFlow Pro is an automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It evaluates directional price flow together with market structure confirmation and opens Buy or Sell positions only after a completed candle confirms a valid signal.
The EA includes fixed-lot execution, optional position averaging, basket-level exits, fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit, opposite-signal exits, profit-locking trailing stop, spread protection, weekday controls, chart visualization, and a compact P/L dashboard.

MarketFlow Pro is a standalone Expert Advisor. It does not require an external indicator, DLL, WebRequest, or additional file.

How It Works
The EA calculates a directional flow state and a separate market structure state. With the confirmation filter enabled, a new position is opened only when both states support the same direction. Signals are evaluated from completed candles.
When a Buy signal is confirmed, the EA can open a Buy position. When a Sell signal is confirmed, it can open a Sell position. Existing positions are then managed according to the selected Stop Loss, Take Profit, basket target, opposite-signal, and trailing settings.
The calculation uses the symbol and timeframe of the chart where the EA is attached. Changing the chart timeframe causes the EA to recalculate using the newly selected timeframe.
Quick Setup
- Attach MarketFlow Pro EA to the required chart.
- Select the symbol and timeframe before attaching the EA.
- Enable Algo Trading in MetaTrader 5.
- Start with the default settings in the Strategy Tester.
- Adjust volume, spread limit, exits, and averaging settings for the symbol and broker conditions.
- Use a unique Magic Number when running multiple copies of the EA.
Important: The default settings are a starting configuration and are not guaranteed to be suitable for every symbol, timeframe, broker, or account size.
Entry Signal Settings

Entry Rules

Averaging Settings
Averaging modes:
- Off: only the initial position is used for each direction.
- Price Distance: another position is added after price moves against the latest entry by the configured number of points.
- New Signal: another position is added when a new confirmed signal appears in the same direction.
- Both: a position can be added when either the distance condition or a new same-direction signal is confirmed.

Risk note: Averaging and progressive volume sizing increase exposure. Test these settings with the intended account size and broker specifications before use.
Basket Targets
Basket targets become active when at least two position layers exist in the same direction.

When basket Take Profit is active, it replaces individual TP levels after the second layer is opened. A trailing SL that has already locked profit is not moved backward by the basket Stop Loss.
Individual Position Exits

The EA observes the symbol's minimum stop distance and tick size. A broker may therefore place the effective stop slightly farther away when the requested distance is not valid for that symbol.
Profit Trailing (SL+)
The trailing function moves Stop Loss into profit after the position reaches the configured minimum profit. It does not intentionally trail a position while the proposed SL remains on the loss side of the entry price.

Entry Protection and Schedule

Weekday and spread filters control new entries only. Existing positions continue to be managed through Stop Loss, Take Profit, basket targets, and trailing logic.
Chart and Dashboard

The dashboard includes positions for the current symbol and configured Magic Number. It does not combine unrelated manual trades or positions opened by another Magic Number.
Important Behavior
- Signals are confirmed using completed candles.
- A confirmed historical Buy/Sell signal is not changed into the opposite signal afterward.
- New entries are subject to signal, spread, weekday, direction, volume, and margin checks.
- Turning off new entries does not stop management of positions that are already open.
- Averaging uses points, not account currency or percentage.
- Basket targets use the weighted average entry price, not a nominal money target.
- On a netting account, multiple entries are combined into one net position.
- On a hedging account, each entry can remain as a separate position.
Common Reasons for No New Trade
- No confirmed closed-bar signal is present.
- The dual-confirmation filter is waiting for both directions to agree.
- Current spread is above the configured maximum.
- Trading is disabled for the current weekday.
- Algo Trading is disabled in MetaTrader 5.
- The symbol does not currently allow market orders.
- Available margin is insufficient for the requested volume.
- An opposite position is open while one-direction mode is enabled.
- The maximum number of averaging layers has been reached.
Testing Recommendations
- Use the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester before running the EA on a live account.
- Test with the same symbol specification, spread, deposit currency, leverage, and account mode intended for use.
- Use the Every tick based on real ticks model when suitable historical data is available.
- Review maximum drawdown, margin usage, position exposure, and the effect of averaging settings.
- Forward-test on a demo account before considering live deployment.
- Keep MetaTrader 5 and the EA version updated.
