TCL Boom Crash is a signal indicator for MetaTrader 4 that combines a Relative Strength Index (RSI) layer, Stochastic oscillator confirmation, optional RSI divergence detection, and a multi-factor trend filter. Signal arrows are plotted on the chart when the configured filters agree.
How It Works
Each potential signal is built from three layers: RSI crossing its overbought or oversold level, Stochastic oscillator confirmation, and optional RSI divergence detection. A separate trend filter using a 50-period Exponential Moving Average (EMA), a trend RSI, and Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) suppresses signals not aligned with the broader trend. An optional candle-pattern filter requires a confirmation candle before plotting an arrow.
Components
- Signal Arrows — color-coded buy and sell arrows plotted at bar close when all enabled filters agree.
- RSI Divergence Detector — optional layer that detects hidden divergence over a configurable lookback window.
- Trend Filter — three-layer agreement using EMA, RSI, and MACD; signals not aligned with the broader trend are suppressed.
- Candle Confirmation Filter — optional requirement that the bar pattern aligns with the signal direction.
- Dashboard Panel — on-chart panel showing current trend state, oscillator values, and signal history.
Inputs
- Show Dashboard — toggle the on-chart panel (default true)
- RSI Period, Overbought, Oversold — RSI settings (defaults 14, 70, 30)
- Stochastic K, D, Slowing — Stochastic oscillator settings (defaults 14, 3, 3)
- ATR Period — Average True Range lookback (default 14)
- Use Divergence — toggle RSI divergence detection (default true)
- Divergence Lookback — bars scanned for divergence (default 20)
- Min Signal Gap — minimum bars between same-direction signals (default 10)
- Use Candle Filter — require confirmation candle (default true)
- Use Trend Filter — enable the multi-factor trend gate (default true)
- Trend MA Type, Period — EMA settings for trend (defaults EMA, 50)
- Trend MACD Fast, Slow, Signal — MACD settings (defaults 12, 26, 9)
- Trend RSI Bullish and Bearish Thresholds — RSI levels for trend confirmation (defaults 55, 45)
Compatibility
The indicator works on MetaTrader 4. It is compatible with all instruments. Signal arrows are calculated on the closed bar and are not repainted.
Installation
- Download the file from MQL5 Market
- Restart MetaTrader if needed
- Drag the indicator onto any chart
