Hi, I'm Muhammad Muqeem Korejo, an MQL4/MQL5 developer from Pakistan with 1.5 years of trading experience.
I build and fix trading tools for MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5:
• Expert Advisors (EAs) built from your strategy rules
• Custom indicators, alerts and on-chart panels - Versão: 1.0

Floorline Prop Firm Loss Limiter watches your whole MT5 account the way a prop firm does - the daily loss, the overall loss and the profit target, measured in the firm's own time zone - and acts before a limit is reached: it closes all positions, deletes pending orders and keeps the account flat until the next reset. It works next to any Expert Advisor and next to manual trading, on all symbols of the account, from one chart.
The daily loss limit
- A % of the initial balance or of the start-of-day value, or a fixed amount.
- Measured from the start-of-day balance, the start-of-day equity, or the higher of the two at the reset.
- Open (floating) losses count, as they do at most firms. A short touch of the limit is enough, so the guard checks the account several times a second.
The overall loss limit
- Static from the initial balance, or trailing from the highest balance, the highest equity or the highest end-of-day balance, with the option to stop trailing at the initial balance. When the guard is started in the middle of a challenge, the highest balance is read from the account history (or entered by hand).
- The initial balance is entered by hand, or taken from the first deposit in the account history.
The profit target
- Notify only; close everything and stop; or close everything and stop for the rest of the day only (so the minimum number of trading days can still be completed).
The firm's clock
- The day starts at the firm's reset time in the firm's time zone: Prague, London, New York, UTC, a fixed offset or the broker's server time. Summer time is handled by the calendar rules, also in the weeks in which Europe and the USA have changed their clocks on different dates. The broker's clock is measured live; in the Strategy Tester it is read from the weekly closes. The panel counts down to the next reset.
Acts before the limit
- A safety buffer (default 80 % of a limit) leaves room for spread, commission and slippage. At 95 % of a limit the guard closes at once, without waiting for a minimum trade time.
- Positions are closed with the largest open loss first; requests are sent together, not one after another. No request is sent while the market of a symbol is closed, and a refused request waits 5 to 60 seconds before the next try; this helps to stay within the request limits some firms set.
- Warnings at 50, 75 and 90 % of a limit: pop-up, sound, push notification, e-mail.
- Optional limits: open lots, open positions, risk per trade from its stop loss, the open loss of one symbol in one direction, trades without a stop loss (warn or close after a set time).
You can see where it acts
- The panel shows the reference value, the limit, the loss so far, the worst loss of the day (it does not fall when the equity recovers) and the money left before the guard acts.
- For the symbols with open trades (up to four in the panel) it shows the price at which the account reaches the guard's line, and draws that price on the chart of the current symbol.
It does not forget
- The start-of-day values, the peak of a trailing limit and a lock are saved to a file of their own at every change. After a terminal or VPS restart nothing is lost: the guard first waits until the terminal is connected to the account, then continues. If the terminal was off at the reset, the start-of-day balance is rebuilt from the account history and the start-of-day equity is estimated from M1 prices, leaning to the side on which the guard acts earlier; the panel marks this.
- A journal file (in the common folder of the terminals: Common\Files\Floorline) records every reset, warning and action.
Deposits and withdrawals
- A payout of a prop account moves only the start-of-day values (the firm's initial balance and floor stay); on your own account all values can move with a deposit; or they can count as profit and loss.
Gap shield (optional)
- Close everything a set number of minutes before the weekend, or a symbol before its daily break, and warn when a spread is many times its normal size.
Strategy Tester
- A built-in practice trader opens trades in the tester, so you can watch the guard warn, close and lock in the free demo before you buy.
Please read before you buy
- No guard can stop a price gap: it acts on the next price it receives. Slippage, a weekend gap or a news spike can take the account past the guard's line before the positions are closed. The buffer is there for this.
- Rules of firms differ and change. Set the inputs to your firm's current rules.
- Some firms do not allow Expert Advisors, or allow them only after approval, and some do not allow a VPS. Check your firm's rules before you use any EA, this one included.
- While the account is locked, every new trade is closed and costs its spread and commission. The guard cannot switch Algo Trading off (that would need a DLL), so it alerts you: stop the EA or the manual trading.
- Some firms flag trades that last less than a minute. While the account is locked, new trades are closed; set "close new trades after ... seconds" to your firm's minimum trade time if this applies to you. The panel counts these closes.
- Some firms do not allow opening or closing trades around high-impact news; the guard does not know your news calendar.
- Keep Algo Trading on - without it the guard cannot close trades (the panel shows this). Run one copy per account.
Setup in two minutes
- Attach Floorline to any one chart of the account.
- Enter your firm's limits, how the daily loss is measured, the reset time and the time zone.
- Check the panel: reference values, limits and the time to the reset match your firm's dashboard.
Inputs
Your firm's rules: initial balance (0 = first deposit); daily loss % / money; daily limit is a % of (initial balance / start-of-day value); daily loss measured from (balance / equity / higher of both); open losses count; overall loss % / money; overall limit type (static / trailing balance / trailing equity / trailing end-of-day balance); trailing stops at the initial balance; highest value so far (0 = from the history); profit target % / money; target action; deposits and withdrawals (start-of-day values only / all values / count them).
The firm's clock: reset hour and minute; time zone; fixed zone offset; broker server clock (auto / GMT+2/+3 US dates / GMT+2/+3 EU dates / fixed); fixed server offset.
Protection: safety buffer %; trades the guard closes (all / one magic number / manual); magic number; delete pending orders; keep closing new trades until the reset; after ... seconds; max open lots; max open positions; max risk per trade %; max open loss per symbol and direction %; trade without a stop loss; seconds allowed.
Gap shield: minutes before the weekend; minutes before the daily break; spread warning (x normal).
Alerts: three warning levels; pop-up; sound; push; e-mail.
Panel: show; corner; offsets; font size; breach price line.
State: start fresh once (forget the saved state, also unlocks).
Strategy Tester: practice trader; its risk per trade.
Questions and answers
- Does it need a DLL or a web connection? No.
- Does it place trades of its own? Only the practice trader in the Strategy Tester. On a live or demo account it only closes trades and deletes pending orders.
- Can I trade manually while it runs? Yes. It watches manual trades and EA trades alike (or only the scope you choose).
- What happens if I switch the terminal off at night? The day's start values are rebuilt when it starts again; the panel shows "*" for rebuilt values.
- Can I undo a lock? Only by starting fresh (input "Start fresh once"), which also forgets the day's values - on purpose, so a lock is not lifted by accident. It works once: set the input back to false afterwards (the panel reminds you), so a later restart does not start fresh again.
