Risk and Position Size Calculator by TickForgeFX
A clean, free tool that does your position sizing for you. Drag three lines to your
levels and read the exact lot size off the panel. No signals, no repaint, no fuss.
What it does
Drop it on any chart and three draggable lines appear: Entry, Stop, and Target. Move
them to where your trade actually is, and the panel updates live with:
The exact lot size for the percent of your account you choose to risk.
The money at risk in your account currency.
The stop distance in points.
The reward-to-risk and the potential profit at your target.
Which way the trade points (long or short), read from your line positions.
Set your risk once (default 1% of balance), size off balance or equity, or type in a
fixed account size to plan a different number. That is the whole tool.
Why it exists
Position sizing is the one piece of risk management every trader is told to do and most
do in their head or skip. Getting it wrong is how a normal losing streak turns into a
blown account. This calculator removes the excuse: set your risk, drag your stop, take
the lot size it gives you.
What it does not do
It does not place trades, fire buy or sell signals, or predict direction. It is a
calculator. The decisions stay yours.
Recommended use
Works on any symbol and any timeframe. The lot size respects your broker's minimum,
maximum, and step. If your account is too small for your chosen risk percent at a given
stop, it falls back to the minimum lot and flags the risk figure so you can see that the
real risk is higher than your target.
