Gold Risk Radar
Gold Risk Radar is an on-chart monitoring panel for MetaTrader 5 designed to help traders understand current exposure and risk state in real time.
In a standard MT5 layout, it is possible to see positions, lot size, and floating profit. However, when multiple positions are open, especially on instruments like XAUUSD, it becomes difficult to judge whether the overall exposure is still balanced or already drifting into a risky structure.
This tool focuses on that specific problem.
It does not attempt to predict the market or generate trading signals. Instead, it provides a simplified and structured view of current positions directly on the chart.
Core Concept
Gold Risk Radar is built around one central idea:
Understanding whether the current position structure is still under control.
The panel summarizes multiple aspects of the current trading state into a compact display so the trader can quickly assess:
- whether exposure is balanced or dominated by one side
- how current positions impact the account
- whether the situation is stable or requires attention
Panel Information
The panel displays real-time information related to the current symbol:
- Symbol and timeframe (e.g., XAUUSD M15)
- Current safety state (e.g., SAFE – Risk under control)
- Total number of positions
- Buy and Sell volume distribution
- Exposure direction (Buy dominant / Sell dominant)
- Floating profit and its percentage relative to the account
- Balance impact indication (e.g., positive carry)
- Risk score (0–100 scale)
- Suggested action state (e.g., Risk under control)
- Current monitoring mode and focus
For example, a position may show acceptable floating profit while the panel indicates a strong directional imbalance, suggesting that exposure is becoming skewed.
Exposure and Risk Interpretation
Instead of focusing only on profit and loss, the tool highlights structural aspects of the position:
- Exposure shows how positions are distributed between buy and sell
- Dominance indicates if one side is outweighing the other
- Account impact shows how current positions relate to balance
- Risk state provides a simplified score and condition label
This makes it easier to detect situations where the account appears stable but underlying exposure is building risk.
Risk State and Status
The panel introduces a simplified risk state system:
- A score (e.g., 25 / 100) reflects overall exposure condition
- A state label (SAFE, etc.) indicates whether risk is currently manageable
- A short action note provides basic context (e.g., Risk under control)
This is not a precise calculation, but a quick reference for real-time monitoring.
Use Case (XAUUSD)
Gold Risk Radar is particularly relevant for gold trading (XAUUSD), where:
- price movement can change quickly
- multiple positions are often opened in short timeframes
- directional imbalance can build without being obvious
In these conditions, the panel provides a fast overview of whether the current structure remains stable.
The tool can also be used on other symbols supported by the broker.
Interface Design
The panel is placed directly on the chart and designed to remain compact and readable:
- information is grouped into clear sections (Exposure, Account Impact, Risk State, Status)
- layout is fixed and does not shift when switching timeframes
- updates are controlled to reduce unnecessary redraw
The goal is to keep the information visible without blocking price action.
Important Notes
Gold Risk Radar is a monitoring tool.
It does not:
- generate trading signals
- open or close trades
- predict market direction
It is intended to support manual trading by improving visibility of exposure and risk structure.
Risk Disclaimer
Trading financial markets involves risk.
This tool helps visualize current exposure and account impact, but it does not guarantee outcomes or replace a trading strategy.
