Trade Strike 2.9 is a convex breakout-and-reversion expert advisor for MetaTrader 5. One EA, two switchable modes: a breakout straddle for trending markets, and a bounded mean-reversion fade for range-bound pairs — selected per instrument via a single input and delivered as ready-to-load preset files.
Every trade uses a hard, ATR-based stop-loss from entry. Winners are left to run to a minimum 2R target, with an optional capped pyramid that adds only to winning positions — never to losers. There is no grid, no martingale, and no averaging into a losing position anywhere in the system.
Real-tick backtested (not just OHLC) across 2024–2026 on 8 instruments — Gold, Nasdaq, USDJPY, GBPJPY, EURJPY, AUDCAD, EURUSD, and BTC — with an independent 30-month walk-forward validation on top of the continuous backtest.

🔷 Convex, Defined-Risk Entries
Breakout straddle mode enters on confirmed range breaks, tuned per instrument (NR-bar filters, ATR entry buffer, optional pinbar confirmation). Reversion fade mode uses z-score mean-reversion with a hard ATR stop, for range-bound pairs like AUDCAD and EURUSD. One input (InpMode) switches between the two, so there are no separate EAs to manage. Every trade carries a hard stop-loss and a profit target of 2R or better — no exceptions.

A capped pyramid adds to winning positions only, never to losers. It lifts profit meaningfully on trend instruments like Gold and Nasdaq without reintroducing anything resembling grid or martingale risk.

NR-bar/range filters size frequency versus quality per instrument. ATR-based stop and target sizing adapts to current volatility. Session and instrument-specific tuning is baked into each preset.
