Spread Swap Cost Monitor shows what a trade costs on each symbol of your Market Watch: the spread now, its average and maximum over the last hour, the swap per lot in your account currency, the round trip cost of one lot, and that cost as a share of the daily range. It is read-only and never opens or closes trades on your account.

Table of symbols

All Market Watch symbols, or a list you type.
Spread now in points, with pips in brackets for forex pairs.
Average and maximum spread over a window you choose (default 60 minutes), sampled every second.
Swap long and short per lot per night, converted to the account currency with the broker's own calculation.
Round trip of one lot: spread plus commission (commission per lot is an input, MetaTrader 5 does not report it).
Cost as a percent of the daily ATR (Average True Range), colored green, orange or red by thresholds you set.
Sort by cost, spread, swap long, swap short or name, with pages when there are many symbols.

Detail for the chart symbol

Bars for the spread now, the average and the maximum.
Typical spread by hour of the day: the three cheapest and the three most expensive hours, learned while it runs and kept between restarts.
Triple swap day and a countdown to the next rollover with the swap multiplier of that night.
Open positions of the symbol with swap accrued and an estimate for tonight.

Spread spike alerts
A pop-up or push notification when the spread of a symbol stays above a multiple of its average (default 3 times for 10 seconds). Alerts are limited per symbol and can be muted around server midnight, when rollover spreads widen every night.

Strategy Tester
In the tester only the chart symbol is shown. The utility opens one minimum-volume demo position at a time (buy and sell alternately, no strategy) and holds it across a rollover, only so you can see the swap section working in visual mode. Their profit or loss means nothing.

Notes

Spread is sampled once per second, so spikes shorter than that may not be seen.
Swap modes that reopen positions show n/a. A currency conversion needs a suitable pair available in the terminal.
One commission value is used for all symbols.
